  • Little Grill Wonder

    Jul 5, 2005 by

    Pros: Great Portability
Cons: tanks don't last more than 1.5 hours.

Summary: Porcelain coated cast iron is great for heat retention (although is heavy!) Although works best on direct cooking, indirect can be done by turning the temp down to Med-Low. I took mine camping and also use it outside on our patio. Have a family of 6 ... read more

  • Lots of Grill for the Buck

Pros: High quality of manufacture, outstanding performance, even cooking, easy assembly, compact size.
Cons: Not the lightest portable (because of the cast-iron grate), needed accessories boost the cost.

Summary: At first I was hesitant to spend $180 for the Weber Q because the price seemed somewhat high for a portable. (It's actually luggable rather than portable, but that's a quibble.) Now I'm glad I made the decision. The design and manufacturing quality ... read more

  • Marginal Grill At Best

    Pros: inexpensive
Cons: build quality, ignition, uneven results, ugh!

Summary: Received the Weber Q as a Christmas gift and have only used it a handful of times. Typical of a gas grill, food tastes like it was broiled in the oven. Grill heats very unevenly and meats can be cooked well on one end while remaining raw on the other. ... read more

Pros: Small size, great heating of food.
Cons: Adapter for a larger tank would be a nice item to include standard.

Summary: I didn't want a big gas grill, but I did want to be able to put more than a few burgers on it. This was the perfect fit! It has been holding up great and I highly recommend ... read more

Pros: it looks good and is priced right to appeal to people who love charcoal
Cons: It is built cheap, lid squeals when lifted, and paint fell on my food. yuk.

Summary: The Weber Q grill is a exactly what it is a cheap grill. after 2 uses paint started peeling off and I noticed chunks of paint falling at the hinges on back side. Don't waste your time with this cheap grill you'll regret it. I ... read more

  • Excellent Grill

    Pros: Small footprint. Cooks well.
Cons: Can't use the indirect cooking technique.

Summary: I didn't have much space, so I selected the Weber Q grill. This is a nice unit. The cooking surface is surprising large; a cast iron pizza plate will fit. Unlike the other Q-grill, the Weber has a lid; barbecuing with the lid closed is the most common ... read more
