Pros: Excellent Cleaning, Large Capacity, Quiet Cons: So far I've had no problems so I would have to say NONE.
My old Whirlpool died after 13 years. Although hesitant based on some of the comments found here, I decided to go with recommendation of Consumer Search and my love of Whirlpool products so purchased this model July 2007. Have not experienced any of ...
Pros: Very quiet, energy star compliant, tower-less design for larger capacity. Cons: Does not clean as well as I've come to expect from Whirlpool products.
My 12-year old dishwasher burnt out several weeks ago. After a lot of research, I decided I wanted another My 12-year old dishwasher burnt out several weeks ago. After a lot of research, I decided I wanted another Whirlpool. I like the tower-less design ...
Pros: very quiet; wash cycle washes well; rinse cycle is fast Cons: Lousy rinsing leaves particles! Stinky between washes. Klunky loading
This "best buy" Whirpool replaced a highly-rated 18-year old GE dishwasher that did a great job all around. The Whirlpool DU1100XTP has a larger load capacity. However the manufacturer ad HYPES the low-water quantity used. Guess what? A mere 6 ...
Pros: When it works, it is relatively quiet and cleans dishes fairly well. Cons: It doesn't seem to work for long..
Forget about Whirlpool initial delivered quality as well as their sub-contracted first-year ldquo;factory rdquo; service. I am now home waiting for my second repair in 5 months on my DU1145TXPB (a Lowe rsquo;s specific model of the DUX1100TX available ...
Pros: washes well, easy to use, relatively quiet Cons: none
After looking at Consumer Reports and online reviews, I settled on model DU1100XTP. (Based on online reports, I avoided the DU1045XTP and DU1048XTP models because there seemed to be more complaints about those particular models than the 1100, even though ...
Pros: Cleans great, good price Cons: Very loud; not nearly as nice looking as other brands
We needed a dishwasher, so I decided to buy this Whirlpool b/c of comments here and Consumer Reports ratings. I went to Sears to buy one, they were out of stock, so I bought a high end Bosch in the clearance section that was on crazy sale (I have always ...
Pros: None Cons: Unreliable, worthless, nothing but trouble
This thing worked for about 2 months. The main circuit board went out and of course the repair service had to order it. That is two appointments which equaled one day off of work for repairs. It worked for about three months before it quit working again. ...
Pros: quiet, plates come out clean Cons: never cleans utensils correctly....F...ing NEVER!
We bought the Maytag Quiet Partner II, DU1148XTP80 for price and what we thought would be quality. Prior to this we had a Kenmore portable I converted to a built-in. This Maytag sucks! The utensils in the door NEVER get clean. I will never buy a unit ...
Not at all worth the money by orange001 ,Feb 15 '06
Pros: It looks nice. Cons: Its a piece of garbage.
We purchased this model over a year ago. It has never performed as well as our old dishwasher. The first problems was it didnt get the dishes as clean as it should have. We changed detergents and still no luck. Also after about 6 month we had to get the motor replaced in it. We were told were werent getting enough water in the rinse cycle. Our water pressure is fine and the other washer worked fine as well. This thing is frustrating. The Heating coil burnt out as well. The soak feature never finishes. It just runs and runs... ???? whats up with that. Now to top it off the motor is starting the same noise it was last time. Keep in mind this is only after a year of use. The machine was terribly manufactured. I would never recommend it to anyone.
Pros: Quietness, efficient, energy saver Cons: none
I recently bought the whirlpool DU1100 and it cleans wonderfully. I don't have any thing to say bad about it. I will agree that if you don't use heated dry you will have to towel dry your dishes. I especially love how quiet it is.
Pros: Looks nice and is quiet Cons: Does not clean dishes
We had to replace our old dishwasher because it was showing signs of rust and wear and it was 10 years old. It was a whirlpool and worked great. We bought a cheap Kenmore which was awful and returned it and bought a $500 DU11XTP, QuietPartner II. it looks nice, it is quiet and it has room for alot of dishes with the silverware tray in the door. The only problem is: it does not clean my dishes - I have tried switching detergents, adding rinse agents, not loading it full, etc.
I have taken to washing my dishes by hand. I have to find the receipt and get this thing out of my house. How awful to buy a new one and then it doesn't work half as well as the old one. And the frustration of having to replace a new one with another new one.
At Last a Washer That Works! by drhyne ,Dec 01 '04
Pros: How well it handles DIRTY DISHES, "SPACE", cycles, and quite Cons: Really have not found any yet.
11/28/04 we bought a Whirlpool washer (Model No.DU1100XTPB1. I put it to a quick test by filling it with dishes with caked on food and it cleaned them really well. The glasses came out with shine that looked like new! Silverware and the remainder of items all were clean without us having to pre-wash them before putting them into the washer.
It is quite, has options like sanitize, etc. Lower basket has no tower in the middle of it so we are getting alot more room and it allows for taller pots. Silverware tray is on door and can be moved anywhere.
Overall this is a very good washer with a good energy rating, and to top it off we paid under $400 for it from HH Greg in Greenwood,Indiana.
Pros: Attractive, fairly quiet when working Cons: Never worked properly..circuit board problems from the get go
I bought this dishwasher new 6 months ago...it has only worked for maybe 3 weeks. I have had the repair service out 3 times, twice to replace the circuit board. It is still not operating. One time, it never shut off, it ran all night long. It has never cleaned well either.
Maybe I got a lemon...I don't know. Also, the silverware holder doesn't snap tightly closed, so all the silverware just falls out.
Whirlpool has been very disappointing to work with as far as getting a replacement. They do offer to have someone come out to "fix" it again. There is no way I am keeping something this expensive when it had problems from the get go.
would not recommend this particular model.
Good Thing We Bought The 5 Year Extended Warrantee !!! by desertshopper ,Apr 05 '06
Pros: Attractive, quiet. Cons: Unreliable.
When our old, cheep dishwasher died, we decided to spend some extra money to get good features with a good name. We liked this model called the "Quiet Partner II" for its many features and trusted the Whirlpool name because our laundry washing machine has lasted for 17 years. So much so, we didn't do our research. We've had it less than a year, and have called customer service three times for service.
The first time was because it stopped ejecting the waste water. The second time the control panel was non-responsive. The service technician replaced the circuit board remarking that he "replaces these every week." The third time was because the clean light would come on when in fact the bottom of the washer was full of dirty water. We would have to push the drain button and then the rinse button to finish the load. Customer service asked for a description of the problem for their trouble ticket and then laughed when we said this was the third trouble report in less than a year. Additionally, we have the same problem as another reviewer of the silverware holder flopping open and dropping the silverware. Buyers beware!
Pros: Excellent cleaning, great value Cons: None yet
We recently renovated our kitchen and added our first dishwasher. Our local supplier highly recommended the Whirlpool DU1100XTP. I installed it myself with ease since it comes with wheels at the rear of the unit to slide it into place. I have used dishwashers in the past but I must say that this model cleans very well. I have put it through some tests with dirty pots and greasy pans and everything comes out spotless. the removable culinary basket on the door is a nice feature for added space on the bottom rack. For the money, this dishwasher is an excellent value.
