Pros: Quiet, dishes are clean, lots of features Cons: None, except it makes a "sproingy" sound when opened or closed
We recently remodeled our kitchen and needed an under counter dishwasher. After looking over many of the options available we decided on the Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus, Series 920 model. We chose the black on black model, and WOW! does it look ...
Pros: Nice Quiet Dishwasher with Lots of nice features Cons: Problems with the screws coming out of it
We bought the Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus a couple of years ago when we remodeled our kitchen. We needed to replace the Refrigerator and the Dishwasher.
This is a nice dishwasher and pretty quiet too.
It has a lot of nice features to it. I love...
Pros: Cleans Dishes Usually the First Time Cons: Loud, Spray Nozzles are so powerful they tend to knock plastics off and heating element melts them
When we moved into our duplex earlier this year, I was happy to see it had a good, name branded dishwasher. After the first two days of moving in, I realized something was wrong with it. It was full of water, would not drain, and the motor sounded...
Pros: None come to mind. Cons: It doesn't wash the dishes
I’m no Daniel Webster, but I think I can get the definition of dishwasher right. It’s a machine that is supposed to wash dishes. At least that’s how I see it anyway. Why is it then, that before I put my dishes in my Whirlpool under counter...
Pros: quiet, user friendly, lighted display, delayed run Cons: white on white cost us more
When I moved into this house, it already had an aging Frigidaire dishwasher and I was counting the days until it died. Well, the inside rusted and out and flooded my basement. CLOSE ENOUGH! Off to Sears we went and I knew immediately that I wanted the...
Pros: Quiet, color panel changes, spotless dishes Cons: Doesn't seem to hold as much as my old Whirlpool
When my husband and I built the one and only home we've ever owned in 1981, our builder provided all Whirlpool appliances in our house. That included an electric stove, electric washer and dryer, refrigerator and dishwasher.
When selecting appliances for my new home "Consumer Report's" top reliability/repair rating for Whirlpool products and my good experience with Whirlpool laundry equipment outweighed the very positive experiences I had with other brands. I purchased a...
Pros: Utensil holder built into the door, large capacity Cons: Wish it could load itself!
This is the second time I've had a Whirlpool dishwasher (had one in our previous house before we moved) and I'm very satisfied with the performance of it. Whirlpool dishwashers have a sleek design and available in black or white panels. Other colors...
As a busy mom of twins, a dishwasher is definitely on my list of most-appreciated appliances. Our Whirlpool dishwasher came with the new house we bought, so we didn't really have a chance to comparison shop. If we had, I don't think we could have done...
Pros: Better than the using the sink, and I got it for free so I'll live with it Cons: Energy-intense, just doesn't clean things very well
Maybe we got a lemon of a dishwasher; nearly everyone else who has left behind a review in this category seems to have had an excellent experience with their Whirlpool dishwasher. I'm sorry to say that I have been quite disappointed with mine so...
Pros: Does an ok job when you pre-wash your dishes Cons: Leaves food dried up on dishes, rather loud
I have had my Whirlpool DuraWash Dishwasher (DU850SWKQ) for about 7 months now. It came with my new house, and when at the home builder's show room, you had to pick from one of the 5 Whirpool models shown. (Of course, every one besides this one costed...
Pros: Extremely Powerful Cleaning Mechanisms, High Quality and Unbelievably Superb Durability !!! Cons: None, Will Last Through Many Years Of Repeated Heavy Duty Use !
My wife and I moved into our mobile home about 4 years ago and purchased it with a Whirlpool dishwasher located under the cabinet. We have kids and they eat and eat and eat making a bundle of washing chores for someone special. That's when the good old...
Pros: It looks spiffy and modern! Cons: It does not clean well, which is what it's made for!
What has Whirlpool been up to? We assumed when we had our new home built that we would purchase wonderful new appliances and Whirlpool usually lives up to it's name. NOT in this case of their undercounter built in dishwasher! Here are some of the pluses...
Pros: 100% usable space, no more clogged drains! Cons: a little louder than it could be
Our last dishwasher was in a townhouse we rented. It had a nasty habit of getting clogged with food and can labels and making a really big mess. (Yes, I know, you're thinking, but Laura, I wash my dishes before I but them into the dishwasher and I don't...
Pros: too many to list lots of options Cons: haven't found any
when we bought our house it came with a dishwasher and i was just so happy to have one after years of apartment living. I don't know what kind it was, I never gave it much thought... until we had a baby. We were washing bottles and nipples and the...
Pros: ease of use, affordable, quiet, efficient Cons: only comes in black and white....but both are very attractive.
When we moved into our current residence....the dishwasher was a disaster! The home is a corporate residence and the last tenants/employees had virtually destoyed every appliance in the place.
Now, one might consider this a "cup half...
Pros: What can I say? It washes my dishes. Cons: The flatware basket alone makes me hate this dishwasher.
I recently purchased a Whirlpool Gold Quiet Wash Plus. OK, it's quiet, has nice styling, timer, etc., but so do a dozen other brands. I was so excited to get this - we had recently moved into a 12-year-old house with original appliances, so I was...
Pros: accuwash, quite, hard food disposer Cons: only comes in under the counter model
I have been nothing but impressed by the whirlpool gold dishwasher!
The first thing you will notice is that it is one of the most quiet dishwashers you have ever heard (well in this case, not heard). With the quite partner you get the normal sound...
Pros: cleans well, color selection, ease of installation Cons: dish size capacity
The Model DU912 Whirlpool Undercounter Dishwasher is a great addition to our kitchen. Remodeling the kitchen meant no more handwashing. What a joy to look forward to!
I won't get into the details of an old house such as unsquare walls, floor...
Pros: Quiet! Cleans almost everything first time. Cons: "Gold" model on the expensive side.
[Update March 14'th, 2007. Our Whirlpool unfortunately has not shown spectacular staying power and is now showing signs of the end of it's lifecycle nearing. The top rack is no longer receiving water to turn the upper spray bar so dishes below (and ...
Pros: Quiet, cleans dishes spotlessly, soak and scour feature works beautifully Cons: None
Finally, accuracy in product naming! The Whirlpool Quiet Partner III is truly quiet - almost silent. My previous dishwasher was so loud we would only start it before we went to bed at night, and even then we'd wake up to it thumping and swishing away....
Pros: Quiet; cleans beautifully without pre-rinsing Cons: Pricey; long cycles; door latch a little stiff
A week ago, our old dishwasher died. Four days later, our new Whirlpool Gold GU1500 was installed. If I had known how big a difference there would be between the old and the new, I would have replaced the old one a lot sooner.
In December of 2001, I purchased a Whirlpool GU1200XTK from Lowe's on the basis of a good review from Consumer Reports. I had it professionally installed, and when initially run, was impressed at how quiet it was. (My old dishwasher was a noisy 10-year...
Over the years I have come to know more about dishwashers than I ever wanted to. Every time we moved or an appliance failed it was the dishwasher we were dealing with. We now have a top of the line Whirlpool which has some good points and some bad.
...

I currently own a Whirlpool Series 929. I am very happy with this product. I always rinse the dishes before loading them, and get any food scraped off.
My dishwasher has a delay of 2, 4 or 6 hours. You can select the cycle you prefer: rinse...
Pros: great cleaning/quiet/delay feature Cons: none
I can't think of one thing that I don't like about the Whirlpool dishwasher. I have previously owned two GE dishwashers (both of which were in houses when I moved in) I hated both of them. Dishes were never really clean, food got baked on and my...
I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher for my previous home in 1994. The machine ran well and was very quiet. The only problem I encountered was the silverware basket. Mine only mounted in the door and I do not feel that my silverware was cleaned well on...
Pros: A pretty quiet dishwasher that cleans very well and has lots of room. Cons: Too many rack options make it hard to load dishes.
When I went shopping for a new dishwasher to replace our 13 year-old one, my major concern was noise. The dishwasher that had just broken was about as loud as a 747 landing in our kitchen/family room. We could only run it when we were leaving the house...
Pros: Does a wonderful job of washing the dishes, it's quieter than a church mouse with laryngitis Cons: The partitions in the silverware basket really irritate me. I can't think of any really good reason they should only extend halfway to the bottom of the basket.
My mom recently bought a Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus to replace our General Electric dishwasher. The old washer had, after only six months of normal use, completely crapped out on us. After one month, the spray jet worked itself loose and fell to the...
Pros: No spots, relatively quiet, Whirlpool reputation, Top model by Consumer Reports Cons: Long wash cycles
I just finished a complete remodel on an income property that I'll be living in for the next year or two before I rent it out. I decided to go with the Whirlpool GU1200 dishwasher, given the good price I was able to get it for ($375) with mail in...
My husband bought me this Whirlpool Dishwasher for Christmas last year. Some people may think, who wants a dishwasher for Christmas. Well I did. We were expecting our first child, and since the American Academy of Pediatrics now say that the water in...
Pros: Whirlpool very dependable Cons: I don't know of any as of yet.
When we purchased our home ten years ago, a whirlpool dishwasher was already installed under the counter top. During the life of this dishwasher, (which was already two years old when we moved in) we had to replace the rubber lining around the inside of...
DU980QPDB is the model number of the unit I have.
I paid $429 when I purchased it a few years ago.
The unit I have is black, with the wood trim kit on it to match my cabinets.
The unit has many features (all the standard ones) plus 4 hour...
Pros: It's better than nothing Cons: It's not quiet and the silverware doesn't get clean
When we built our new house, I shopped around for dishwashers. They are all pretty comparable in price. I decided on the Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus for two reasons: it was supposed to be quiet and it had a timer option wherein you can turn on the...
Pros: I don't have to wash dishes, HELLO! Cons: Dishwasher deteregent is more expensive

Pros: cleans dishes, good value Cons: 805 Model doesn't have all the buttons & whistles
I purchased the Whirlpool Series 805 (Model # DU805DWGQ1) Dishwasher in 9/1999 and have been nothing but impressed especially considering that this is one of Whirlpool's lower level models.
It doesn't have all the extra options and cycles but...

This machine is SO quiet you really cannot tell if it is on or not and is a snap...
The Whirlpool Model DU912PFGQ under counter dishwasher is great. Previously owning a Sears Kenmore and having several other brands in apartments gave me a real comparison on the noise levels. I used to set the dishwasher to run when I was not going to...
Pros: Extremely quiet, cleans well, choice of 2 places to position silverware basket. Cons: getting use to a new setup on the racks!
This dishwasher is extremely quiet, and has a flat control pad, making it wonderfully easy to clean. This model has extra insulation on the sides and bottom, and a special seal to aid in the noise produced from the machine. There are a variety of cycles...
Pros: Size, very quiet, versatile trays Cons: adjustable racks difficult to manipulate
I recently bought a new Whirlpool Quiet Wash Plus to replace the one we left behind when we sold our house. I was specifically looking for one that was quieter and larger than the previous model we had. I FOUND IT!
This dishwasher, unfortunately, came pre-installed in my apartment. I have used lots of dishwashers, and this is by far the worst one in my experience. The silverware are supposed to be placed in a closed box in the door; of course, since they are in a...
I own a Whirlpool Series 6000 undercounter dishwasher. Are you looking for a machine that cleans great, quiet, and extremely reliable. Better look to a different company.

I live in a mobile home and knew that there was no way I could get a regular dishwasher in here like I wanted and that was affordable. I had to be able to fit it into my budget. I have wanted one for a very long time and figured hey, I work full time,...
Pros: dependability that will save you money over the long haul Cons: very plain, (is that a weakness?)
I did some research at epinions and Consumer Reports and other sites, and basically I needed a cheap dependable d-washer. The Whirlpool DU912 fit my needs and it was on sale at Lowe's right down the street from my apartment to boot. I checked the other...
Pros: Time delay, lots and lots of room, washes great Cons: silverware tray is inconvenient and catches food against the door

Pros: cleans well, easy to use Cons: no cons, I love it
My husband and I built a house a little over a year ago in a new neighborhood. We didn't choose our Whirpool dishwasher. The builders picked this one out. It was the type they put in all of the houses.
They chose well.
Pros: The ease of loading ,and the silverware tray in door. Cons: None yet.
I have owned two Whirpool Dishwashers and I would not have any other brand. I like the silver ware tray in the door and the adjustable racks.
This make it easier to load and with the silver in the door you have more room to actually put dishes in...
Pros: Easy operation. It is quiet. It does a fantastic job. Cons: Haven't found anything yet.

Pros: Attractive Cons: Is that the Best it can Do?
I just got this dishwasher two months ago. I selected it because it is the cheapest model to come in stainless steel, and because Whirpool has a pretty good name. My husband and I installed the dishwasher ourselves, using the instructions that came...
Pros: Reasonably quiet Cons: Doesn't clean dishes on top rack

When my 4 year old Frigidaire dishwasher finally died after numerous repairs, I decided "Frigidaire - never again!" I asked around, did some
consumer report research, and the name that constantly came up was Whirlpool. I bought a...
Pros: When it worked, it didn't do a bad job cleaning the dishes. Cons: See above. I would not buy another Whirlpool product.
I purchased this appliance based on a good review in Consumer's Reports four-five years ago. Last month the unit would not drain. A repairperson came in and determined that the pump was not functioning and needed to be replaced. The service call, which ...
Pros: quiet, does very good job cleaning dishes Cons: wash cycle seems to take a long time
I have hung up my dishrags and towels forever! I have owned a Whirlpool gold dishwasher for almost a year now and can't imagine living without it. It is very quiet and does a fantastic job cleaning the dishes. I do not need to rinse any food of the...
Pros: None Cons: Does not clean well, not durable, inside stains easily
We figured we couldn't go wrong if we purchased a "top of the line" dishwasher from Whirlpool. Boy were we wrong. After about a month things started falling off of it and finally we found a round circular item in the tub. After further...
After owning two dishwashers that did not hold up to the daily demands
on them I was lucky enough to finally buy a winner. After owning a Whirpool I do not think that I will ever have the desire to own anything else. The dishes come out clean and...
We bought our dishwasher about two years ago. It has been a true lifesaver for me. I don't have a lot of spare time, so I have to find way's to maximize it the best I can. So when we got our Whirlpool Quite Wash Plus 900 Series I was very happy to say...
It is always hard to find a good dish washer that cleans the dishes. Some say it is the soap. some say it is the water, but I think having a good unit that sprays well does the job. This one cleans my dishes and pots. The silverware is located on the...
Pros: Cleans without pre rinsing Cons: Not as quiet as it's name implies
I really love my Whirlpool Quietwash dishwasher. Maybe I love it excessively because my last one broke and I had to HAND WASH the dishes for almost a year before we purchased this new one.
But the real reason I love it is because it really...
Pros: Extremely quiet, moveable silverware basket Cons: A little problem with controls, just took getting acclimated
This dishwasher is fantastic! I recently purchased the Whirlpool Gold 940 model to replace a very noisy and cheap GE dishwasher that our builder installed in our home only three years ago. My favorite feature on this dishwasher is the silverware basket...
Pros: Movable silverware drawer
Optional no heat dry cycle Cons: LOUD
NOISY
No delay timer, no hard food cleaner, no self cleaning filter
I don't know if this one was worth the price, since it came with the house. I do know it is not very quiet, and doesn't always do the best job of cleaning dishes. It lacks a hard food cleaner and a self cleaning filter. I have had 4 dishwashers; this one would rate near the bottom.
As far as it being noisy, it is so noisy it is almost impossible to watch TV or listen to the radio when this is running, so we often wait until bedtime to run it. Unfortunately, since it doesn't have a delay start timer, we sometimes forget to run it at night.
Whirlpool series 920 DU920PFGB0 failure by mtrefugee ,Nov 17 '04
Pros: attractive Cons: poor drying; expensive repair; limited life
We have had the Whirlpool series 920 dishwasher for about four years. It doesn't hold as much as the previous washer; it doesn't dry the china completely; and lately the cycle selector pad on the console has stopped recognizing anything but "Heavy" (the "china" and "normal" buttons are inoperative).
Whirlpool apparently doesn't sell replacement parts for the console, so you must get them through third party applicance repair sources. The best quote on the console is $90 plus serviceman (another $80) total $170 +
Pros: Appear to be nice unit. Options were what we wanted Cons: not as quiet as expected and lousy durability and customer support !
I bought the top of the line Dwasher in early 2003. Laster April of 2005 I had to replace the motor, heater and control panel. Now 8 months later I am having to replace the control panel again. Also after 3 years the button on the front have cracked. Called Whirlpool and they offered no assistance and appeared to careless that a product was not working as it should and the customer was not satisfied. I will not by Whirlpool again or Kitchen Aid. Very poor customer service on the the problems encountered.
