Pros: Ease of use
Attractive
Cooks perfectly every time
Easy clean up
Cons: Expensive and it only really cooks rice
I am an American who was raised in Bangkok Thailand from age 4 to age 11. So during those years, my otherwise western palette became accustomed to Asian cuisine, specifically hot Thai food. And the rice had to be cooked Asian style - not Western. When ...
Pros: Simple and easy to use. Cooks rice, perfectly! Every time! Attractive in design. Cons: None.
Well, I must admit. I took a leap of faith with purchasing this Rice Cooker/Warmer. I read a few articles about the device but wasn't convinced enough to spend over two hundred dollars on a RICE COOKER! What was I nuts?? I thought, if I purchase this ...
Pros: Induction Heating System; Gabba Brown feature; Removable inner lid; Budded rice scooper; LCD control panel. Cons: Fixed cord; More expensive than most rice cookers (but worth every penny in my opinion).
Zojirushi NHVBC18 - Japanese Technology at A Delicious Price BACKGROUND: I really love rice. I'm American, born and raised in Texas, with a Scandinavian blood line. I love fish too, but I really love it best with rice. ...
Pros: Induction Cooking; Fully Programmable; GABA Rice Cons: None, other than price, but it's worth the price.
I bought this rice cooker because it was the only one with a program for making GABA rice (more on that later). The cooker cooks perfect rice every time. It cooks by induction, which uses magnetism to heat the contents of the magnetic metal cooking ...
Pros: Makes perfect rice and is easy to use Cons: Cost
First: I have never owned a rice cooker before, but my wife and I had started eating more rice, specifically brown rice because it is healthier. I bought this rice cooker based on the reviews and because it was the only one with a program for making ...
Pros: Easy to clean. Consistent easy results. Cons: None.
I am stationed in Japan. We've admired the Japanese rice cookers. (The stores here often have dozens of rice cookers like this to choose from.) We didn't feel brave enough to buy one with only Japanese instructions!
We searched for an English version and this was the best one. I'm glad we got the English instructions! It's very simple to use but a quick read of the instructions is necessary.
We love it! It makes the type of rice we had envied after living here for awhile.
We now eat rice much more frequently. We had a rice steamer device that worked very well. But the clean up was a hassle and it only made rice "American Style". The steamer now rarely leaves the cabinet and then only to steam vegetables.
If you like rice, you will like this rice cooker.
BTW, the little tunes that it plays at start and stop add a genuine Japanese cultural touch. (The tunes are easily disabled.) Little tunes like that are everywhere here. (Even the town plays Edelweiss daily at noon over the emergency loudspeaker system.)
Pros: Flawless and consistent performance. Cons: Price is steep but you're not gonna do better.
This thing rocks. Absolutely flawless rice, be it for sushi, a side dish, or anything else. Once it's done cooking, it can be 'idled' and leaves the rice nice and hot, with the same perfect texture.
We put it on our dinner table, keeping the rice hot for seconds (and in my son's case, thirds and fourths....)
A family of three only needs a ZAC-10; I'd recommend that and save a couple bucks.
Pros: Cooks rice perrrrrrrrrfectly. I do mean perfectly as long as you follow the instructions. Cons: A little pricey - but well worth it once you put it to work
I have read all the opinions on Amazon and on epinion and with much consideration I decided to splash out (not cheap). The rice cooker arrived today, a day early, and I changed our menu to include Jasmine rice. ooh my goodness the rice tasted delicious, perfectly cooked. I am a serious cook but never enjoyed cooking rice. The cooker is easy to use, very intuitive.
Go buy it and your life will change forever. It is really worth the money if you enjoy eating rice. This is the best rice cooker in town.
