Pros: Memory size, easily operated, excellent sound quality Cons: Old USB port (1.1 VS 2.0), pricey
Kids eat batteries, especially AA and AAA batteries. Never mind trying to get them to use rechargeables (theyre dead, I need juice now). I have enough trouble trying to understand teenage fashions and social issues. Since my constant complaints ...

Update (one month later):
Sound - Still very good, BUT I have noticed a sort of electronic beep/skip now occurs between some songs. I am not sure if this is...
What can I say about this item? Half gig of storage, built in mic for voice recording, line jack for direct MP3 coding plus a FM tuner and you can record what is playing on the tuner. All this for 299.99. Now for some history. I was looking for ...
Worth the money, but barely by chase327 ,May 30 '04
Pros: -Excellent sound quality, one AA battery lasts about 20 hours, small, has FM radio Cons: -Hard to transfer songs from PC to player, breaks easily, hard to navigate
I spent $50.00 on this because I had a rebate. It was worth the money, but barely. It was hard to navigate at first, with the length of the button-push being more important than the actual button. Additionally, I had a very hard time transferring songs from my computer, equipped with Windows XP, to the player. Once I figured everything out, all was well... for a few months. The sound quality was excellent, even the FM radio! It also had a voice and FM radio recorder. Best of all, one AA battery lasted about 20 hours. After I had owned the player for about 2 months, it broke. It just wouldn't turn on! Luckily, I still had the receipt, and it came with a warranty. I sent it in, and I received a brand new one... more than a month later.
Overall, this is a decent mp3 player if you just need something small (it holds about 30 songs) and don't want to spend a ton of cash. Just remember to hold on to your receipt!
