Into exercising and want to listen to music while working out, well there are a number of flash players to choose from - this review looks at the IRiver 790. Not using it for exercising - then buy an IPod, there is no better player for non-physical ...
Pros: 40 hours on 1 AA, easy firmware updates (lots of improvements and changes so far) Cons: undersized jogging strap
[updated Feb. 28, 2005. see bottom of review] The iFP-790 is THE flash player to get, if 256 megs is enough for you. I won't lie, I was only able to load 43 songs max onto my player the first time I used it. (too many 192bit mp3s). If you're planning ...
Pros: Feature laden, Solid and well built. Cons: Cheap carry case, standard small display.

Pros: Great sound, featherweight, quick access to volume, new improved software, robust design. Cons: Difficult to remember all the features and how to get to them.
I've had my iRiver iFP-790 for 2 years now. I use it no less than 2 or 3 times a week and almost exclusively for exercising. Keep that in mind while reading this review. The good: 1. This baby is light and small. It's about the size of a cigarette ...
Pros: great sound, smaller than expected, easy to use Cons: people aren't kiddin about the arm contraption folks!
It was this or the Creative 256mb XT FM. I order the creative from Walmart at an unsually low price but as usual: back ordered with no clue of next shipment. Canceled it. Went to the neighborhood bestbuy got this instead. Still crying about the money ...
After finally getting rid of my ipod (became to bulky) I was in search of a small lightweight MP3 player that I could toss in my shirt pocket and forget about it at the gym. After some searching and research (the ipod mini, dell's MP3 player, zen MP3 ...
Pros: Great sound, OSX compatibility, long battery life, variable rate, USB 2.0 Cons: Controls take some time to figure out, but easy enough to master
I work and play on an Apple iBook and G4. My goal was to find a good value MP3 player that would be OSX compatible, have an FM tuner, file storage support and transfer rate, great sound, and be one that I could go to the gym with. Well, after doing ...
Pros: clear sound, Radio reception good, long battery life Cons: not suitable for a Mac, case doesn't fit right, USB door is flimsy
This is my first mp3 player and I did a lot of research before buying. I'm impressed with the features. It has a lot and the FM radio tuner is a nice bonus. I don't live near any large towns and was expecting fuzzy radio reception but the channels come ...
Pros: great sound small size. Cons: Customer service is bad. I had to jump through hoops to get my rebate
I have been using this player for the past two weeks. I love the sound and the small size. The earphone quality is good! It is shiny red and great for Gym! I have however found issues with the software. I have a three year old desktop running windows ...
Pros: Battery life, good sound quality, FM radio actually gets reception (unlike other brands of players) Cons: Small arm strap, need to take some time to learn the functions.
I did a lot of research on MP3 players before buying and eventually choose the 790. I am very happy with the sound quality, battery life and FM radio reception. I currently have 41 songs on the player at 128 bit and still have over 100 megs of space ...
Pros: Small design, good audio, sorting capabilities Cons: inability to add memory, arm band
This was originally given to me as a gift. My boyfriend spent a week trying to find a mp3 player I would like. He decided on this one because of the memory, size, and audio quality. I loved it. I usually don’t like some songs on CDs I purchased. I ...
Pros: Nice size for all that it can do. Cons: Needs better headphones.
Just bought this MP3 player to replace my RCA Lyra 128 that was a good little unit. I needed something small to use when I jog with an FM tuner. The iRiver is really nice, has more capabilities than I'll ever even use! You can actually record a song ...
Perfect workout companion by noratriepke ,Mar 28 '07
Pros: Small, extremely portable, quick upload time for new content Cons: Small storage capacitiy, disfunctional armband
Armband wasn't the best but it does have a great carrying case and slips right into a pocket. It can hold a few cds and is great for those who want to change out music often. It never once has crashed on me and I've had it for nearly two years now. Great little FM tuner too.
Pros: fm radio
compact
price Cons: controls were a bit confusing at first
I bought my daughter an iPod on her insistence and opted to buy me a cheaper MP3. My daughter is super jealous.
Now my husband wants one. This was a great purchase, I'm glad I bought it.
