Pros: Unbelivable price for a 18" LCD.
Excellent picture quality. Cons: No DVI input or portrait mode, but thats nitpicking at this price.
I bought this almost on a impulse. I was going to buy the 17" version (I already have a AOC 720) but when I saw that the 18" version was only £50 more I decided to pay the extra.
This is by far the lowest priced 18" LCD I've seen, but having used it...
Pros: Light Weight, Clear & Bright, Uses less power than a CRT monitor Cons: After 3 months of using it, I can't think of any.
The AOC LM800 is 18.1" viewable, bright, clear and lightweight. Wait! Don't forget affordable too! At around $500, it's a great deal. It's Everything a LCD monitor should be and after three months of using it, I will never go back to a CRT monitor. My...
This is an extremely high spec flat screen.
approx 25ms reponse time, 350-1 contrast ratio, horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 160 deg, 1280 by 1024 native resolution.
The price is so far below any other LCD screen with the same specs that I thought there must be something wrong with it. But I swallowed my doubts and bought it.
I have to say it has been one of the best purchase I have made. Of course AOC have a new model for slightly less money with DVI now, but I dont care. Im blissfully happy with it after 5 months.
The only flies in the ointment that I didnt know about when I bought it are the two dead pixels near the middle of the screen. And it seems that Redhat Linux 8 doesnt support the LM800 very well. My picture quality is worse than a CRT under linux.
A fantastic product, I hope we see a lot more of AOC.
