Pros: Good color, contrast, controls, price, and set of features. Cons: lacks sharpness control, 800x600 mode is ONLY fair for text/graphics.
KDS = Korea Data Systems xf= xtreme flat screen
Thought I'd let you know that tidbit...
Anyway I bought the KDS in eagerness after seeing its list of features (antiglare, antistatic, antireflective coatings, very nice dot pitch,...

Pros: price, size, weight Cons: picture quality, geometry
The picture quality on this monitor is not too great. It is a bit blurry and is a little hard on your eyes. It is impossible to get the geometry right on this monitor. There is no way that you can make the sides straight...impossible! I played around...

Crystal clear, crisp, pristine...
by res6jya6 ,Jul 09 '05
Pros: Anti glare, Anti scratch, BIG and Bold Cons: Bulky - Takes up a lot of desk space
Having recieved this monitor through the company at which I work, I was reluctant in turning over to it from my conventional CRT 17" monitor.
After the monitor had sat, unused, under my desk for a month, my CRT monitor failed... Just what I needed.
I took this big, 17" Flat screen (NOT panel) monitor from it's box and hooked it up. I booted up, and found that the monitor actualyl had pristine, crisp, and full color and depth. The monitor boasts "anti-glare" which actually works perfectly.
My eyes never felt better -- More than an hour on the old monitor gave me a headache... And my job required constant attention to the PC. This monitor didn't give me the literal headache of the job.
It was easy to set up, and it was crystal clear. The flat screen anti glare is perfect...

KDS Xtreme Flat 7b 17 in. CRT Conventional Monitor
by jayman0173 ,Jan 15 '05
Pros: quality is ooook, price is good, size.
Cons: menu is hard to understand
monitor with a nice price and a good size screen,A good choice for the price, but the menu lacks understanding.
The picture quality on this monitor is not too great. It is a very sharp screen maybe to sharp and is a little hard on your eyes.I played around with the controls for one hour trying to fix the shape, sharpiness, color and everything else, but was not able to figure it out. The menu is a little hard to understand. This monitor does not take up as much space as most 17" monitors. I only had this monitor for about a week, and that was enough to give me a headache from tring to figure out the menu. This monitor was light when compared to other ones in its class.but over all its not a bad monitor for the price
but as they say you get what you pay for

you get what you pay for

Pros: price Cons: small viewing size, burnt pixel when new, sixty days later it broke
I was attracted to this monitor because I was looking for a 17" CRT monitor and had a very attractive price. Took it home and noticed the viewing size of the monitor is quite a bit lower then my HP 17" CRT monitor (I use dual monitors). I did not let that bug me but then I also noticed a burnt pixel on it the first day. I know that is common for LCD screens, but this is a CRT! I was a little angry about the relatively small viewing size for it being sold as a 17" monitor and burnt out pixel but figured I will keep it since it is just my secondary monitor. Sixty days later and now it does not work at all.
