I have eaten at BD's a million times and it never gets old. I love puttin together a new combination of food every time. I have been to the BD's in Royal Oak, Ann Arbor, Novi and Auburn Hills and the atmosphere is the same; lively and fun. I am not surprised that there are so many imitators. None measure up to BD's. The meats and veggies are fresh and the service is fast and friendly. I eat at BD's about four times a month and I am still not tired of it.

The quality of the ingredients at BDs is exceptionally low. All the vegetables look quite limp, thawed from frozen.
Selecting your own food seems like a good idea, but bear in mind it will all be thrown together on a grill. does spinach cook for the same amount of time as chicken? i didnt think so.
The sauces are myriad. Since few people know the sauces well, i would guess that there is a good deal of oversaucing.
There is a reason people go out; to have food cooked for you.
There are tvs with sports.
There is a high danger of cross contamination from the raw meats. wash your hands after putting together your food.
As for the 9 foot Mongol Man figure, that's just pure racism. We may not know much of it, but there is a lot more to Mongolia than Genghis Khan. Stereotypes aside, I give BDs a most unfavorable review.
