Pros: weekday breakfast special, excellent side dishes, dinner plates a good deal, some 24 hour locations Cons: normal breakfast menu expensive, late night menu breakfast only, sometimes has bad service
When I first moved to the Boston area I lived in a suburb called Woburn (some of you may have heard of it from the movie A Civil Action). I lived on the non-industrial side of town, near Burlington. Because my area was fairly residential there...

Pros: Decent prices for decent food. Cons: There aren't any as long as you aren't expecting more than a nice diner.
Bickfords is an anytime breakfast, inexpensive lunch and inexpensive homestyle dinners chain restaurant with over 65 locations in New England. I am reviewing the restaurant in Framingham, MA. It is an...

Pros: Cleanliness. Cons: Everything else.
I will herein relate to you the three visits I made separately, rather than mash them together, to two Bickfords locations. As I believe service is Bickfords biggest failing, I will look at each experience with a view toward service, and leave ...

Pros: it's cheap Cons: food poisoning warnings on the menu, food is not so good
Once upon a time, I used to love Bickford's. They were open late, and they were closer to Brandeis than IHOP. In fact, I used to love Bickford's so much that I even wrote a favorable epinion about Bickford's. But one day about two weeks ago, all that...

Pros: None that I can think of!!! Cons: Bad service, dirty restrooms, small portions for what you pay!
First off, I'd like to state for the record that my review is based on the food and service that my family and I received in Greenfield, Massachusetts and may not apply to the other ones located elsewhere. I've been here before with less than favorable...

Pros: The Food... MMmmmm!!! Cons: Some locations have horrid service.
There are two Bickford’s Restaurants in our general area. One of which we frequent, and the other one we avoid like the plague. A few weeks ago, we made the unfortunate decision to visit the plagued restaurant, because it was located more conveniently...

Pros: Breakfast Cons: Lunch and dinner
Although Bickford's (Bick's to locals) is probably the only eatery in this list to be mentioned in a Jack Keroack poem, that is about the only notable thing at this restaurant.
I used to frequent Bick's back in high school, both the one on...

Pros: Breakfast anytime! Cons: Not all of them are open 24 hours a day!
If you are looking for a place to get food late at night, or anytime of the day, Bickford's is the place to go. Some, not all, are open 24 hours a day, but if they aren't open 24 hours then they are open pretty late. All of them serve breakfast at...

Pros: Decent food, low price. Cons: I have tasted much better coffee before.
I will admit, I am addicted to Bickford's. There are two restaurants local to me, and I am at either of them every chance I get. Bickford's never ceases to give me decent food for a low price, good service, and an overwhelming friendly atmosphere....

Pros: Good prices, great food, friendly staff, late hours of operation, some 24 hours Cons: Not the cleanest place, odd menu, and they took away the cheesecake!!! :(
Don't be fooled by their "breakfast anytime" slogan... they do delicious lunch and dinner, too! Their menu is mostly breakfast, with such names as The Tri-State, The Big Apple and, my favourite, The Lumberjack (a running joke among my friends is to ask...

Pros: Great place to hang out, good food. Cons: It's not exactly the ritz...
We always end up at Bickfords.
Read it again...with more emphasis.
Bickfords is great. It's better than IHOP, better than Friendly's, better than any other nicely-priced-yet-still-has-decent-food eatery.
My friends and I...

Pros: open 24/7 Thurs-Sun, great menu Cons: some are horrible
Now, I would like to start off with saying I am a regular Bickford's goer. For the past 2 years I have gone to Bickford's at least 3 times a week. I especially go Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, when they are open 24/7.
Bicford's...

Pros: Good Food, Good Prices, Clean Restaurant Cons: Can't think of any
The thing I like best about Bickfords is that they don't mess around with your food. When you are in the mood for a good, plain meal, without a lot of hoopla and having to get dressed up, this is the place for you.
All the Bickford's...

Pros: well it is open all night Cons: the food's terrible, the service is terrible, you will get sick afterwards.
I strongly recommend against bickford's. The food is terrible, the service is worse and every single time i have been there I have gotten sick about two hours after leaving. I have been to a few bickford's around the lowell area and a couple in NH and...

Overpriced Pancake House
by swerved ,Feb 21 '05
Pros: It's only lying to people in New England Cons: Poor Service, Bad food, Frozen Lobster parts, Overpriced Substandard Dennys
We visited the Portsmouth Circle location on our way to Bar Harbor, ME. My daughters french toast had egg shells fried into bread. The sausage was like a piece of rubber it had cooked so long. Oh and the lobster roll. Fresh seafood from a company everyday is the Bickfords way. This lobster was freezer burnt. I asked to see the packaging and the server brought out a plastic package of frozen lobster pieces. The manager stated there was other seafood that was fresh, but he could offer no explanation why fresh seafood daily meant frozen lobster pieces. Basically this restaurant boiled down to a Denny's type restaurant with extremely high prices for that type of food and the service. Well, lets just say there is a trailer park nearby. By the way this lobster roll about half the size of a hotdog bun with this frozen lobster parts and mayonaise and celery costs 12.99 with fries.
