A perfect "hole food"

by staceyg , Apr 29 '00
Pros: Bagels!
Cons: none that I can think of
Yum! I must thank Einstein Brother's Bagels. I live in the New York Metro area, where bagel shops are in abundance, but some of these bagels are the size of my head. Lender's bagels are just too tiny, but Einstein's are perfection personified.

Nummy

by bigsteve , May 19 '00
Pros: Yummy in my tummy
Cons: Don't go as often as I would like to
Ah, it's Sunday morning. My friend and I are walking back from church down Wisconsin Ave, just past the Safeway. We see the flea market across the street, and take a look. But first, got to grab a bagel!

It's become part of a regular Sunday...

Einstein Bros.: Better than the Supermarket

by DiamondDave , Apr 28 '00
Pros: selection, accompanying fare, big tables
Cons: some of the toppings are only on one side of the bagel
Supermarket bagels pretty much suck, but you probably don't even realize this until you've had a real bagel. Einstein Brothers makes real bagels, even though some New York purist-types may argue with me on this. If you want a good bagel, and don't have...

Best Bagel Chain Around

by BethPears , May 04 '00
Pros: Fresh, chewy, closest I've seen to a NY Bagel
Cons: Raisins in the cinnamon bagels!
Okay, I'm a sort of bagel snob. I grew up in New York where, as we all should know, the best bagels are made. (I'm sure it's that great NY water that makes the difference.) My mother owned a bagel shop so I've certainly had my fill of every kind of bagel...

More bang for your bagel...

by mzzzh , Jun 02 '00
Pros: Extremely fresh, a variety of flavors
Cons: They run out quickly
Not long ago Einstein Bros. Bagels opened a store next to my favorite Starbucks. I had previously been to another location of Einstein's about a year or so before so one Friday I decided to check out the new Einsteins after obtaining my morning...

Once a Jew, always a Jew!

by TrinityLisa , Jun 07 '00
Pros: Best bagels, smears and configurations.
Cons: shop is too cold and decaf is only one flavor.
Because I often substitute teach at Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, I find myself wandering across the street during lunch time sneaking off for a cup of Joe, or in this case a Melvin and a bagel. Entering into an Einstein Bros Bagel...

It's All in How You Use the Bagels....

by algernon , May 06 '00
Pros: Consistent quality; many wonderful sandwiches made with bagels.
Cons: Can't think of any.
Ten years ago, I didn't know a bagel from a navel (they both have holes, right?). Now I try every new bagel place that I see and I eat the things constantly. I love 'em.

Einstein's bagels are not my favorite, but they are extremely good and...

Fresh taste great bread!

by niciangel , Jul 04 '00
Pros: Great food, varied menu, vegan/etc friendly
Cons: Slightly expensive, doesn't accept CC
I love this restaurant! Its one of my favorite of the new "trendy" bagel shops popping up around town. I usually am there at least once a week and would go more but no one else in my family likes bagels. Their menu is definately a plus side to...

More Bagel for the Buck

by ValerieG , Jun 13 '00
Pros: Excellent bagels, large variety, family of 4 eats breakfast for under $10
Cons: I have to drive one town over to get here!
It doesn't take an Einstein to figure out why you should eat at Einstein Brothers. Large, delicious bagels, lots of shmears, the best salads, a nice assortment of cookie treats, their own brand of (fantastic) potato chips, incredible coffee and a nice...

"Man-Hole Cover Bagels"

by dclif78766 , Dec 29 '00
Pros: Price, Size
Cons: not really any
I have been in the Einstein Bagel Shoppes from coast to coast (well from Florida to Utah anyway) and the bagels taste, look and feel like they are cooked by the same old man that has somewhat of a funny way of looking at a bagel.

Every store I...

Not just for breakfast anymore

by Jaydee1993 , Jul 11 '00
Pros: Everything is fresh
Cons: Menu is based on bagels
When I was growing up, every Sunday we had a big brunch. The table would be set with fresh cream cheese, nova lox, , bagels and all the fixings for a supper bagel sandwich. Einstein Bros. brings Sunday brunches back, every day.(and then some)

Crisis in Philly, story at 11

by green Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Oct 16 '00
Pros: Tasty breakfast sandwhich
Cons: Is nothing real in this place.
I always thought that the best bagels came from little Jewish bakeries on Manhattans lower east side. Apparently so do about 8 out of 10 members of megacorp's focus group. The entire place is like a big sting operation, they just moved in a couple of...

Have a Bagel!

by burrito , Dec 01 '00
Pros: Wonderful Bagels!
Cons: Butter costs!
