Sometimes it's about WHERE you eat. Every KFC location is different. Remember, there are actual people who make the food, so it's not always the same everywhere you go. From my experience, I find their food to be great.

I stopped by the local KFC to pick up dinner for myself and my two sons a few nights ago after my oldest got done with karate for the evening. I went by the drive-thru and proceeded to place my order and go to the pickup window. The person at the window was extremely sweet and had a huge grin on his face. I thought he was really being nice. Then I get my order and continue driving home. When I get home I see why he had a smile on his face. The two kids meals I had ordered had the smalled pieces of chicken strip possible and they did not include the applesauce that is suppose to come with the meals. I had also ordered a side of macaroni and cheese for the boys to share while was not in the bag. My meal (the breast and wing combo) had somehow turned into a wing and thigh combo full of grease and barely enough meat to call it chicken. An extremely disappointing visit to KFC. I'll be trying out other restaurants in our small town before going back there.

When I was a kid, I used to like Kentucky Fried Chicken (as it was called back then). I would usually get a 2 piece meal with mashed potatoes and gravy, a biscuit and green beans if I recall correctly. It used to be pretty good. Over the last 15 years, I have noticed a decline in the quality of the food. First, none of it seems very filling for what you pay. The chicken pieces don't have a lot of meat and are kind of slimy. The food just doesn't settle well. Getting a bucket of chicken is too expensive. The side dishes seem bland or overcooked. I leave still hungry and wondering why I ate there again. On the rare occasion I give KFC another chance, I always regret it.

Cons: EXPENSIVE FAST FOOD! Inconsistant on all levels

We used to be the die hard KFC fans, but recently every time we venture to try the chicken at our local KFC, it is to say the least almost inedible!
The Honey BBQ Wings and Boneless wings really don't even have any BBQ sauce on them. The customer service is common and although I don't necessarily expect 5 star service at a drive thru, at least they could be a bit friendlier. And talk about the automated voice box at the drive up menu...ANNOYING! I can see what your specials are, they don't have to be read to me when I arrive.

Pros: Providing an alternative to fried chicken is a great idea and a welcome change.
Cons: KFC needs to work on enhancing the flavor of the grilled chicken.

Let me start by saying I was so excited to see an alternative to fried chicken from KFC.  Some time ago, KFC offered rotisserie chicken that I really enjoyed.  For some reason, KFC discontinued the rotisserie chicken. 

When KFC introduced the grilled chicken, I looked forward to trying it.  I was very disappointed by the product.  The pieces were extremely small, and the flavor was flat.  It tasted as if they put it on the grill with no seasoning and did not add any seasoning at the end of grilling. 

I hope they continue to experiment with a substitute to fried chicken and think they can turn the grilled chicken around if the add some flavor.  KFC please bring back the flavor!
