Pros: Papa Johns is inexpensive Cons: Tastes gross
A Papa Johns pizza has been in my town for a year now. Friends of mine raved about the pizza. So I decided to give it a try. Disgusting!! The pizza crust was soft and almost seemed soggy. The cheese is rubbery. The sauce is salty and down right...

Pros: Delicious pizza and breadsticks, decent prices Cons: Sometimes arrives cold, relatively small sizes
If you're going to order from Papa John's, get the breadsticks. And pick it up yourself. If you follow these two simple pieces of advice, you should thoroughly enjoy your dining experience. When fresh and hot, Papa John's is the best of the fast food...

Pros: Simply the Best Pizza Cons: Um...., probably not the most low fat food you'll eat
Let's face it, there is Papa John's Pizza then there is regular Pizza. Warning after eating Papa John's Pizza you forever will be spoiled. There is no turning back to Dominos or Pizza Hut after that. What makes Papa Johns Pizza so good? Well first...

Pros: price is good Cons: pizza needs more pizazz
Well...you want to know the truth? The truth is I was not that impressed with this pizza. It is "okay". On a scale of 1-10(10 being the best) , I would give this pizza a "3". Its edible...it just does not have that...

Pros: Reasonable price, excellent quality, fast service, love the peppers Cons: None
I was offended the first time I was served Papa John's pizza at a friend's house over a year ago. At the time I was a loyal Little Ceasars' fan. Soon I discovered the wonderful pizza that was Papa John's. Ceasars is good, but John's has something...

Pros: they sell food Cons: everything else
Never in my life have I let a food delivery and human incompetence get me worked up. But tonight Kitchener, Ontario Papa John's really took the cake! I booked my pizza order online at 8pm...a pricey as anything, but I was sold just to try it. An ...

Papa John's Lack of Customer Service
by jazzisit111 ,Jan 08 '07
Pros: None Cons: Not fully cooked pizza and NO offer to exchange!
To sum it up in one word...Horrible! Purchased a pizza that was not fully cooked. Called back to complain and the manager had the nerve to say, "Perhaps, you should order the thin crust." Being that this was my first experience with Papa John's, I was appalled. I tried to find a corporate number for them but there is none. I sent an email and received one "canned" reply and NOTHING ELSE!!! Will never purchase anything from them again.

Papa Chain surprises the skeptic
by alviesing ,Sep 19 '04
Pros: Great Sauce, fast delivery Cons: Vain owner does own commercials
I'm a bit of a food snob, i make no excuses, I prefer good wine to beer, filet to hamburgers, tom to jer- well , you get the point. Anyway, Being from Philadelphia, there are two foods I cannot do without, even if it knocks me down a peg or two in the food snobbery arena: Cheesesteaks and Pizza. On the former I will leave you to discover, on the latter, the conventional wisdom is the best comes from the smallest hole in the wall sweaty man run place you can find. I agreed with this philosophy until I tried the Papa. Unlike the cardboard and ketchup from those other guys (you know, the ones with the game) Papa Johns has a sauce that is hard to beat. Slightly sweet Tomatoes on a slightly doughy crust, topped with plenty of cheese make this the chain that leads me by my pizza seeking neck. And they deliver most anywhere you can eat, with plenty of specials to leave you with enough money for a bottle of red...

YUCK -- UN-ORDERED PIZZA TOPPINGS I DIDN'T WANT
by thisviewpoint ,Mar 16 '05
Pros: Pizza is tasty for a chain restaurant Cons: Sloppy -- yucky toppings I didn't order.
No resolution offered from Pappa John's customer service.
Hidden on my pizza were toppings I didn't order and didn't want to eat.
Pappa John's pizza is actually tasty -- but only when you get what you actually order. I have dietary restrictions and couldn't eat the pizza they made.
I told customer service and was not offered a refund for the pizza I couldn't eat.

HORRIBLE
by ktg1 ,May 22 '08
Pros: They deliver cold pizza because they are always late, if they show up at all. Cons: Read above.
The Papa John's on Hillsmere in Annapolis is terrible. They are always late when they deliver, they get my order wrong most of the time, and their staff is rude and uncaring.
Last night I ordered pizza from them and was told my order would be delivered in 35 to 45 minutes. An hour later we called and were told our order NEVER WENT IN. When we asked to speak to the manager he refused to get on the phone because he was "too busy". The assistant manager was rude and unapologetic. I've complained via their website, but I doubt anything will be done. I'll drive to Pizza Hut the next time my family wants pizza. (Currently Papa John's is the only pizza place that delivers where I live.)
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, unless they want an excercise in frustration.
I will not order from them again.

Tastes like skating rink pizza
by sseaholm ,Dec 11 '06
Pros: You can order online. Cons: Delivery charge + tip. No taste. Tiny cup of dipping sauce.
Papa Johns pizza tastes like the kind you get at a local skating rink...tasteless. The kind you only eat because you're hungry and there's nothing else available. The pizza was lacking flavor and maybe some herbs and spices. The cheezy breadsticks were okay, but the dipping sauce was 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce, hardly enough for all the breadsticks. The garlic sauce puzzled me. Why was it there? I will never eat there again.

Love the Pizza/watch the bait and switch
by architectlink ,Nov 12 '05
Pros: Love the product, love the alternatives Cons: Two large pizza's should always be the same price--cut the bait and switch
We have been ordering pizza's from Papa Johns since they opened, but I have recently noticed that there is some sort of price discrepancy that is confusing their staff...Bait and Switch maybe???
We always order two large pizza's delivered our house (for the past few years)...However, I have found that whenever a babysitter calls from our house they are told the same pizza that I've been ordering for $16.99 is now suddenly $26.99...it even happened to me tonight! Why the price differential?
How can the same pizza have so many different prices? Why are you ripping off our babysitter?
Sooo...what gives? Are you telling your staff to "rough up" the customers for the highest price? I have come home several times to find that the nanny is always charged a LOT more than I usually pay for the same item.
Please tell their employees that to lie about their specials is dishonest and is resulting in negative publicity for their company.

Papa Johns Pizza Overpriced with no flavor!
by gatewoodboy ,Mar 31 '08
Pros: good tomatoes Cons: No flavor, very little chicken, gummy crust, way way overpriced $22.00+ for a 14" pizza?
I've tried their pizza several times with the same result NO FLAVOR! The Latest and last was spinach with alfredo cheese sauce. It included chicken (very few pieces) and tomatoes which was the best part. The crust was so soft to be almost gummy. I noticed their website has no place to leave any complaints. Never again!!

definitely the worst pizza in NY
by elen24 ,Mar 23 '08
Pros: their TV adds obviously work, fast delivery (though we live one block from their place) Cons: probably out of fear to be late, they don't wait until pizza is cooked
It was Saturday evening, on TV they ran add about Papa's Pizza, we decided to try...We ordered by phone, the clerk tried to explain us that they are out of beef, though we did not order beef toppings. They told us that the waiting period would be about 35 min, but we got it in only 15 minutes!WOW, that was fast!
They overcharged our card for about $3 on the order of $35, but whatever...
The main disappointment was quick to come also! The crust on the edges was beautifully grilled, but the dough inside was raw, the tomatoes, big chunks of them, were actually cold, everything fell apart, we could not pick up a slice without all the ingredients sliding away. To be fair - the wings we ordered as a side dish, were good.
Overall - will never order again!!!

Papa John's Pizza
by realitalian ,Apr 20 '07
Pros: everything Cons: nada
The Papa John's here in Stow Ohio is incredible- I myself LOVE sweet sauce- and their chicken strips (with honey mustard sauce) are the best I've ever had- (And I'm from Boston and I've lived for years on authentic-italian North End Pizza.) I have never gotten a bad pizza from there and the people there are very friendly and the store is very clean. It's a little pricey- but worth it !
VERY VERY GOOD !!
I luv ya sweet baby !!
