A Great Canadian Export

by ldarwent , May 30 '00
Pros: Great Food as you like it, Clean stores, good service.
Cons: Not enough mixed seating, i.e. individual chairs.
Like the Royal Canadian Mounted Police's Musical Ride, Tim Horton is a very familiar name in Canada. What's first started off as a restaurant franchise actually happened because of the forward thinking of this particular man. Research shows that the...

Timbit Fever

by everlong , Nov 25 '00
Pros: Open 24 hours, 7 days a week
Cons: At 2pm, the donuts MAY be a little stale
Although I am a big fan of instant access to great coffee and donuts around the clock, seven days a week, I am somewhat puzzled (and on my sinister days, frightened) at the sheer volume of Tim Horton's Donut Shops that are located in my small town....

This java is dee-lish

by longshadow , May 31 '00
Pros: Delicious coffee, fast. Inexpensive. They're everywhere!
Cons: Long line ups in the drive through in winter!
I love Tim Hortons' Coffee!! I grew up in Dublin, Ireland and frequented a few good coffee houses, very nice, very cosmopolitan, the kind of place where you wore all black and were seen to be reading Jack Kerouac. The Coffee was good too. But then on a...

Real donut shops = heaven, Gas station counters = hell.

by jam-tart , Aug 23 '04
Pros: Best coffee, better than average everything else.
Cons: Long, although fast, lineups (a sign of quality). Not enough locations in the States.
You just have to avoid the gas station (Esso?) mini-counters, and only go to the real shops, even the ones that are only drive through. From the sound of some of the other reviews, they seem to have hit the gas station locations. These are horrible. ...

On course towards mediocrity

by funkengruven , Dec 30 '04
Pros: Published in Review
Cons: Published in Review
Tim Hortons has changed a lot in the past few years. since they started manufacturing their baked goods in that factory out of Brantford the quality has deteriorated drastically from the days they were fresly baked in the store. I used to bake for a ...

Owned by Wendy's but still Canadian

by oparu1 , Feb 11 '07
Pros: Fresh sandwiches and coffee. Healthy fast food.
Cons: They're not in Boston! Some of the hot drinks are a little too sweet.
Whenever I go home to Toronto or vacation in BC, I always bring back a can of Tim Horton's hot chocolate or coffee. It's a Canadian thing. Their chicken salad sandwich is a nice intro to their sandwich line. You can have it made however you want - ...

Gone Downhill Since Bought Over

by ravensorn , Jun 01 '06
Pros: Staff at my local Tim's knows my order by heart, ready when I walk in.
Cons: Greasy muffins, square fritters, old favourites no longer available. Coffee varies from location to location.
I loved Tim's I still do. Can't go a day without it, but, have noticed a steady decline in the quality of some of their products over the years. Ever since Wendy's bought over Tims, and have provided the stores with "pre-made" baked goods, I've noticed a ...

Timmies, The Canadian Tradition

by carzncompz , Mar 18 '06
Pros: Coffee, Donuts, Lunches, Desserts and the MANY locations.
Cons: None at all!
Whenever I mention Canada to someone they immediately think of two things. Those are hockey and Tim Horton’s. Tim Horton’s can be compared to a Dunkin Donuts in the states. Tim Horton’s is best known for their coffee and donuts but more people are ...

Tim Horton's is the definition of good.

by acstarkshift , Sep 16 '03
Pros: Donuts, donuts, crullers, donuts, boston cremes, donuts. Oh. And donuts.
Cons: Most of the country doesn't have them. (A tragedy.)
I'm from Michigan and about 3 years ago we got our first Tim Horton's. Life was good...even great. Then last month the Krispy Kreme bandwagon rolled into town. The Krispy Kreme glazed is a good donut, but Tim Horton's puts the everloving smack down on ...

A Canadian Landmark, And For Good Reason!

by material_girl3 , Jul 13 '02
Pros: Inexpensive, nice atmosphere, fresh products
Cons: Tends to be long line-ups at "peak" times
Alright, first off, I must admit that I'm currently an employee at Tim Horton's. BUT, I'm going to only state the facts, not necessarily only my opinions.
First off, Tim Hortons' products are always fresh, we've never had any complaints about that....

Yummy Yummy Yummy!!! And French Canadian too!!

by amytart , Aug 10 '00
Pros: Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere (not to mention the cute old men)
Cons: None.
For those of you that thought Tim Horton's fans were just French Canadians...THINK AGAIN!! Tim Horton's has two restaurants in my home state of Maine. One of them is located in the heart of the French Canadian population of Maine so it is frequented...

The Newest Kind Of Doughnut: MOLDY!

by bybob , Oct 16 '01
Pros: No pros with a moldy doughnut
Cons: A MOLDY DOUGHNUT ENOUGH SAID
I went in to Tim Hortons a couple days ago with some friends of mine. We were all having a blast, so we decided to go into Timmy's for a nice snack. My friend and I decided to split a pack of twenty doughnuts. We got all sorts of kinds: jelly, sprinkle,...

Horton Hears a Who

by galileo365 , Apr 19 '01
Pros: Good service and good coffee
Cons: We have to drive to Canada to go there.
No, Tim Horton isn't a relative to the well known loved elephant who during a psychotic episode hallucinated strange voices from a speck of dust, but the food there is so good, that if you're not careful, you'll look like Horton!

Our family...
