  • Delightfully Small Fun and powerful camera on the go!

Pros: Excellent image quality especially impressive low light still performance. Great Video performance.
Cons: Single Accessory port limiting further versatility, i.e. Flash with EVF finder. Cannot use both.

Summary: Every Year I look for a capable small camera to take with me on our Hifi Shows on the road, and frankly point and shoots are fine as long as the rooms and venues are well lit. Also There are times I want to go on my own personal road adventures and a ... read more

  • If you Expect your $1000 Camera to Autofocus Steer Clear of Sony NEX-5N

Pros: Nice small size, good color and contrast.
Cons: Problems with auto focus and Sony support is dismal and unhelpful

Summary: I owe my old Canon Rebel EOS an apology for abandoning it to the newer, sexier little Sony NEX-5N I bought to replace it.  My advice to you:  If you're in a good relationship already, stepping out to try something that looks too good is never ... read more

  • Amzazing Camera For Portablility And Performance Combinedd

    Pros: Portable
    Attractive
    Robust
    High Quality Stills and Videos
    14 Mega Pixel Stills
    1080p VIdeo
    Cons: Only 3 Lenses
    Need more than 8GB
    Records in AVCHD
    Not Many Manual Buttons

Summary: I bought this camera at a price of £500/$779 and it has served up to its price well. I use it when out and about and it takes amazing stills continuously! The Video mode takes full HD videos but at a, not very convenient AVCHD format though. ... read more

  • Impressive results, especially indoors without flash

Pros: great low light results without flash, compact size, bright rear screen
Cons: no viewfinder, not many 3rd party lenses on market, Sony lenses and accessories are pricey

Summary: I bought this little camera to complement my full size Sony a-350 thinking it would be a handy size to carry outdoors when my full size camera bag with accessory lenses and flashes is too bulky or heavy to tote.  I expected good results outdoors in ... read more

    Pros: -Incredibly easy to use
    -Very compact, lightweight
    - Autofocus is quick
Cons:  - Camera interface very simple
    - Battery life isn't great

Summary: I'm a Canon 5D Mark II user. For travel on long hikes, I had an Olympus E-P2 PEN 4/3--size was great, but image quality appeared to my eye pasty. Also, lots of noise even at 400 and unsatisfactory dynamic range. Sold the equipment and bought the Sony 5N.

    Flash is weak
    Not recommended

Summary: My wife like it even though she has little to no photo experience so I rolled over & got it.  The menus like most of the these style of cameras are complex.  I've generally got it figured out.  It is small. The bad news is
