Pros: Great concessions, improved appearance, sight lines are pretty good, and the White Sox! Cons: The park would be much better if it faced north(for a view of skyline).
A more recent review of U.S. Cellular Field is badly needed. Maybe I am biased, being a devoted White Sox fan, but this place consistently gets a bad rap. Sure, when it first opened in 1991 (at that time, called "New Comiskey Park"), the words ...

Pros: Access, cleanliness, food, sightlines, convenience, fan amenities, fan base Cons: Needs green seats (light blue is not pretty), exterior ramps
Ya know this was the 1st time I had been to US Cellular Field here in 2004, I was eager to see what the place looked like after major renovations. All in all its looks absolutely fantastic. I was there in 00, 02 and multiple times in the 90's. Now in 04 ...

Pros: history, food, ticket availability, focus on baseball Cons: lack of identity, cold, irrelevant comparisons to Wrigley
I've read most of the reviews here and not many of them seem to be written by anyone with a knowledge or appreciation for the White Sox history and fandome. I believe a proper perspective on those things is necessary to evaluate an experience of their ...

Pros: they are playing better baseball, and the fans have returned Cons: still a bad place for a ball park
Comiskey Park can be seen as you drive by on I/90-94, rising up out of the...parking lot. Yep, that's as exciting as it gets. It is the ultimate opposite of the northside ball haven, Wrigley field, which is literally snuggled amongst neighborhood bars,...

Pros: Great Environment, Clean Stadium Cons: Unfortunately most of us don't live in Chicago
If you have the chance to visit Comiskey Park, take it. Although I have been to baseball games at other stadiums, seeing baseball at Comiskey was really a treat. In accordance with tradition, during the 7th and 8th inning, they did a real "Seventh...

Pros: New renovations, club level Cons: Ramps!!!! Main concourse is restricted
Parking
Parking was very easy, but, expensive at $15 per car for the White Sox owned lots. The lots were pretty close to the entrances and they were fenced in, lit, and had White Sox security guards for the whole time. It was really easy to get to...

Pros: Frank Thomas, fireworks, good sightlines Cons: neigborhood, loutish fans, not a pretty place
Comiskey Park, home of the White Sox, is not one of those edifices built to celebrate baseball, but to generate sales of merchandise and tickets. It is located in a blighted area, so you don't want to come early or stay afterwards. Getting in and out of...

Pros: Excellent food. Great team (currently) Cons: Almost everything else
Comiskey Park. Let me say, while i am a North Side fan at heart that only matters two weekends a year and in the ungodly event that the Cubs and Sox would play each other in the World Series. Now on to my opinion.
Comiskey park is a great...

COMISKEY PARK -- UGH
By meiste
Although Chicago is blessed with one of the greatest of all baseball parks in the Wrigley Field home of the National League Cubs on the North Side, it also has one of the worst in Comiskey Park, the South...

Pros: This park is clean and easily accessible. Cons: You may have to go during the week to get cheap tickets.
The White Socks offer a variety of packages and special offers to make tickets less expensive. These packages and special rates can make good seats available to the average person.
I went with a friend to see the White Socks play Kansas City....

Pros: cheap tickets Cons: expensive food, long lines, lots of noise, rude fans
I must preface this by telling you that I am a long-standing Cleveland Indians fan. My brother and I went to the June 19th White Sox – Indians game at Comiskey which turned into a 6-1 Sox victory. It is difficult to imagine coming home from this...

Pros: all the traditional goodies PLUS convienence, AND the Kids, of course. Cons: Big, New, yet to earn it's stripes. Terrible neighborhood.
Think a great baseball game is a great way to spend ten bucks? How about a baseball game with a great view, a great team, great fans and stadium seating for a beautiful, fully choreographed, fireworks display afterwards? That's just one of my...

Pros: new structure, good parking Cons: angle of upper deck
Growing up on the south side of Chicago all my life and being a Cubs fan was hard until the Whitesox ventured (with the help of tax payers (about 150 million)) to build the current stadium. To the eye this is a marvel of the 20th century. For anyone...

Pros: new Cons: BOOOOOOOORRRRRRIIIIIIIINNNNNGGGG!
Who built this place!
I was a frequent visitor of the old Comiskey Park during the 1980's... It was old, quirky, and creaky... It had personality, good, bad, and ugly... It was an old ballpark and a true American Icon...
Fast...

Pros: exploding scoreboard, food variety Cons: uncomfortable seating, parking, traffic
From the Dan Ryan expressway headed northbound you can't really get this impression, but coming from the loop Comiskey looks like a hulking spaceship that just landed. Parking here is a challenge -- there are lots nearby, but don't try nearby streets --...
