Pros: Decent parking, no "bad" seats, Nachos cheap! Cons: Scam artists outside arena, expensive beer. Can be tough to navigate for U.S. citizens.
I have been to the Molson Centre several times, for both Montreal Canadiens hockey and for several concerts, most recently for the game I attended just last night, a NHL matchup between the Canadiens and the Buffalo Sabres. (For any who might care, the...
Pros: Location, no bad seats, easy access. Cons: Expensive, Montreal fans suck, smoke, team sucks. no ambience.
The Centre Molson is home to one of my most storied franchises in modern sports history. The Montreal Canadiens rank up with the New York Yankees and the Green Bay Packers as the most historically dominant team in its given sport. They have won more...
Pros: Any seat is good, hockey museum, acoustics in concerts Cons: I want playoffs! :)
Okay, I will start this by noting a small error Epinions made. In French, we should read "Le Centre Molson", rather than "La Centre Molson". Whew! Now that this is solved, here is my opinion on the arena.
Several years ago, Montreal decided to replace their beloved Forum with the Molson Center, affectionately known as The Keg. The affection is clearly misplaced. This is the worst of the crop of new arenas that I have visited. Sightlines are poor and...
Pros: Great location, fun city, excellent atmosphere Cons: Smoking issue, crazy drivers
The Molson Center (Now called the Bell Center) is home to the storied Montreal Canadiens. Unlike many stadiums in North America which were built to cater towards two (or sometime three sports), this stadium was built for hockey (and the occasional ...
Pros: Very clean, fun, well priced Cons: No playoff games
I've been in lots of arenas traveling. Some I dislike - Three Rivers I greatly dislike. Pepsi Arena in Albany, NY is only moderate(great for Sports/Arena events, but Concerts are horrid). Some are great for they're history, MSG in New York and the Great...
Pros: great location, easy to get to, great fans. Cons: The habs suck. Hallways are small and the toilets are way too few.
So, sure. Any Montrealer will tell you how awesome it was to see the Habs play at the Forum (now a movie complex...**SHAME ON THEM**) during those glorious years where Montreal was the team everyone wanted to play for. The Bell Center, previously known as ...
Built in 1996, the Molson Centre in Montreal has been a disaster from the beginning... it doesn't even come close to being the arena that the Forum used to be.. there's no "sense of something special" anymore.. the crowd is mostly corporate and...
Pros: Amazing Seating arrangement, every seat offers a perfect view! Cons: The building itself is no work of art.
Hockey is probably the most important part of Montreal, so all Montrealers had big expectations for the Molson Centre. The opinions of most montrealers like me are usually split, some people look at the asthetic aspects of the building, which, truth be...
the centre bell/molson was built on a postage stamp for the 1996 season. the lower bowl provides great sightlines while taking away legroom. the "central washroom" idea was a joke they instead of spreading the washroom facilities out over the entire concourse they build huge washrooms. the act of getting to them is an excercise in futility. food priced are over the top and egress is problematic. the building takes 45 minutes to clear after an event (20 000 people) as a reference olympic stadium with a + capacity crowd (temporary seating erected) lets say 60 000 for a grey cup can be cleared in 25 minutes. the bell center has 2 main concourses plus 3 more private, they are narrow and hard to negotiate, olympic stadium has 5 public concourses that were overbuilt.
Pros: Great Fans(accept for the hardcore ones there idiots) Cons: Exspensive souvenirs.
The first hockey game I've ever gone to was at Montreal. The seating was hard but in back its easy parking if you want to pay. The souvenirs never pay in American(RIPOFF!!)
The fans are the loudest thing you ever will hear great experience.
