Pros: Exciting Games, Solid Team, Historical. Cons: If you don't like big crowds, you will feel crushed.
Michigan Football. If I were to ask if there is anything else in the world like it, I would receive an endless array of comments from 'Bama fans, Huskers, Nit'ney Lions (whatever THOSE are), Vol's, and of course, those folks in Florida that think...
Pros: Everything...It's the BIG HOUSE! Cons: Parking, Seat sizes
When I think college football, I think Michigan. When I think Michigan, I think of the Big House! There is NO better place in the WORLD to watch a college football game!
Michigan Stadium (aka The Big House) has a "capacity" of...
Pros: Size, history, crowd Cons: seats, gets cold in winter
The "Big House" in Ann Arbor, Michigan is by far the biggest stadium I have ever been to in my life. It is home to the Wolverines football team for the University of Michigan. Looking at it from the street can be very deceiving because most...
Pros: Site and sound Cons: Price of Food and the tiny seats
"The Big House!" What is more exciting then going to a Michigan Football game? I live to go to the games every fall, but then again I also attend U of M, so for me it's also school spirit! My family has had season tickets to the Michigan...
Pros: atmosphere, "The Victors", 110,000 friendly people, good parking arrangement Cons: lack of bathrooms
My only (and hopefully not last trip to the Michigan Stadium) was in 1996 for the Penn State-Michigan game. Even as Penn State diehard I think the Big House is a great stadium and The Victors is an awesome fight song. We had a great time that day, and...
Pros: Great tradition and environment, not a bad seat in the house. Cons: Traffic around the stadium after the games.
I have been coming to see the Maize and Blue battle it out in the Big House since I was just a wee lad. The first few times I came here as a young boy I was overwhelmed by the environment, and the sheer size of the crowd. As a student, however, I've...
Pros: Pageantry, fight songs, history, atmosphere, Ann Arbor before and after a big game. Cons: If you are over 200 pounds buy two seats. Gross food and amenities.
OK, let's get first things straight. I am a Wolverine fan, and I consider football Saturdays Holy Days of Obligation as the old Michigan saying goes. I go back to Bo and Woody days. And I think Ann Arbor is truly one of the most beautiful places on ...
Pros: Great atmosphere, great team, biggest crowd you can find! Cons: parking/driving are difficult, may have to pay a lot for a ticket
There really is nothing like going to a game at Michigan Stadium. The history, the pageantry surrounds you, as do lots and lots of people. However, despite the opportunity to witness some of the greatest football anywhere, the Big House (as it is ...
Pros: There is nothing like a game at the Big House Cons: If you are an OSU fan, you will see your team lose
There is nothing like the big house. I've been to many a sports arena and nothing compares to having 110,000 screaming fans (well the really old alumni sitting around the 50 yard line don't scream too much) cheering. I guess that I was pretty lucky. I...
Pros: 110,000 people in one place Cons: 110,000 people creating a traffic jam beforehand
I have seen several games at the Big House but the impact of my first time is unforgettable. It is worth the bad traffic and potential parking problems to see at least one college football game here.
The great thing about Michigan Stadium is that...
Pros: Best Place to watch College Football. Cons: Small seats and long lines.
Being the largest football (and largest non-soccer) stadium in the world, the fans are part of the action. Sure, you might get stuck 90 rows up, but you're watching the same game with 114,000 people.
Pros: They were playing Michigan State Cons: About everything else
I went to Ann Arbor to see MSU play U of M. First of all, driving in Ann Arbor is a nightmare. There are too many one way streets. Parking is horrible. We had to walk like two miles to get to the stadium. Once you're in, they try to pack 100,000...
Pros: It is the best place in the world to watch football. Cons: Only if you have claustrophobia. There are a lot of people walking around.
The big house is my absolute favorite place to watch a football game. I have been to around a dozen football stadiums (college) and the big house beats them all. The sheer size of it overwhelms even an adult the first time they step inside. The football...
What a dump! Michigan Stadium is quite possibly the most over-rated stadium in the country. The fans seem to be in a constant daze. They only get excited on 3 or 4 3rd downs in a game. True it is a "big house" but the student section is very weak, and if you are sitting close to the field when it starts to rain, prepare to get soaked. You'd be better off going to see Northwestern, at least there you don't have fair weather fans.
Pros: A Big M in the middle of the field. Cons: Unless you like bad acid trips, this place isn't for you.
Aside from seeing my dog get run over by a car when I was 6, my visit to Michigan Stadium was the saddest experience of my life. Pregame....fans line the streets in their Blue and Gold, cell phone in hand talking to people "back home" (ie. Long Island) about their morning experiences. The Michigan Fan is more worried about the fraternity party after the game than the actual game itself. If you try to talk to a Michigan fan on their thoughts about the big ten, you only get Michigan jargon dished back to you. Obnoxious and Ignorant is the only way to describe the fans in Ann Arbor. The stadium itself is pretty once you get there, but plan an extra hour to get through the outer gates and into the actual stadium. Their band is weak at best. The fans sit on their hands 99% of the time, when they aren't on their cell phones. Post game...don't expect to be taunted if you lose at Michigan, a good percentage of the fans leave before the game is actually over. Overall, pretty stadium, good football team, ignorant, weak fan base.
