Pros: Easy to get to and fun baseball Cons: Jets flying above. No more Jets playing below.
Summary: My dad was a Dodger's fan and with their departure from NY it was a while before he could call another baseball team his own. Then came the METS and he, like so many others, had a team, good or as bad as they were, to root for again. I followed my dads ... read more

Pros: very easy access via the 7 train, great NL baseball Cons: very old stadium, rude ushers
Summary: Shea Stadium, along with Yankee Stadium is going to be destroyed at the end of 2008 (or early 2009) in favor of brand new, state of the art stadiums. People always just "Shea Stadium is in Flushing (the city) for a reason". While I'm one of the ... read more

Pros: Great place to take the kids, and the whole family. Cons: The constant noise from airplanes taking off and landing in LaGuardia airport.

Pros: Authentic sixties-style cookie cutter stadium without the bad press all the others got. Cons: Food OK but could be better.
Summary: They don't call it "Big Shea" for nothing. Through the retirement of the other cookie-cutter stadia, it has become the largest stadium in the NL with a seating capacity of over 56,000. Because it has outlived it's brethren in Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and no ... read more

Pros: Accessibility, open outfield, grass field, history Cons: Mo Vaughn..., not one of the new HOK types
Summary: ...you'll like Shea. It is a large, symmetrical 3/4 circle, so it doesn't have the idiosyncracies of Wrigley, Fenway or the new downtown-types. However, the sightlines from the two lowest levels (field boxes and Loge) are quite good to excellent, and ... read more
