Take Me Out To the Ball Game

by Andres_527 , Jan 19 '00
Pros: Nostalgia abounds! The sights, the sounds, the smells of all that is Wrigley.
Cons: I live 1700 miles away.
CHICAGO, IL. May 29, 1996. This was the first time I ever visited Wrigley Field. To say it was an eye opening experience is an understatement. I had become a Cubs fan in the mid-eighties when WGN was picked up by our local cable company. I used to...

94 Years of Futility.....And Counting

by rickyspitfire , Oct 11 '09
Pros: The first MLB stadium to have a laugh track installed for home team antics.
Cons: You might be a Cubs fan and thinking of this ballpark just makes you sob.
Wrigley Field was originally used as the home of the Federal League's Chicago Whales in the 1914 and 1915 seasons, which were the only years the Federal League existed.  It was originally named Weeghman Park after the owner the Chicago Whales, ...

Very Disaspointing, not all its cracked up to be

by baseballguy19 , Jul 16 '04
Pros: History, which looks as if it has been forgotten by the fanbase
Cons: Food, Access, Sightlines, Fan atmosphere, Bathrooms, Roomyness, Comfort, Falling Concrete?.....etc
Well for starters my comment would that Wrigley is overrated from a normal baseball fan experience. One would think its a baseball stadium first, a place to watch a team play the national pastime. Well thats what i thought this classic stadium was about. ...

Best Park to Watch A Game

by aliasjane , Jul 31 '04
Pros: great view of the game. Great atmosphere.
Cons: bad food. terrible restrooms.
Wrigley Field is an absolutely perfect park for watching baseball. The view is spectacular. All baseball fans should see a game there at least once in their lifetime. The park is small so you always feel like you're close to game even from the upper ...

Wrigley Field marks the spot

by kellyintampa , Sep 22 '01
Pros: Historical, old beauty at its best, good hot dogs
Cons: no parking, lots of walking
Chicago, a town known by the one and only Wrigley Field; marks the spot where the Chicago Cubs call home and where Harry Carey shouted over the intercom for years and where many famous ball players made history of their own.

Growing up in the...

It doesn't get any better than this

by levda , May 01 '00
Pros: A great time had by all
Cons: There are no cons. Even if the Cubs lose, you have fun.
I've been going to Wrigley Field since I was a little girl. I live only a few blocks away. It never gets old. Being a Cubs fan, while trying at times, is made worthwhile because of Wrigley Field.

If you are under 30, I would highly...

A great day atthe ball park

by olympiakos07 , Apr 16 '00
Pros: Great view affordable tickets
Cons: hard to get bleacher tickets
Me and a couple of friends just recently attended the Atlanta Braves and Cubs series. The first game we had bleacher seats, next we had right field line seats and then left field upper deck seats. This stadium is beautiful and old fashion. Yes theirs...

Old Time Ballparks Rule

by Mojo-Jojo , Apr 21 '00
Pros: Not a bad seat in the house
Cons: Price of Parking is very high (take the bus)
Is there any other Ballpark in Baseball better than Wrigley Field? I think not. Wrigley really comes into bloom around the start of June when the Ivy has grown full on the outfield wall and the seats are packed with fans.

A lot of the newer...

Everyone needs to visit Wrigley...it's a baseball landmark!

by valdameers , Jul 09 '00
Pros: beautiful, fans are awesome
Cons: parking is bad
Wrigley Field is one of the true and pure things left in baseball today. It is one of the oldest living ballparks in baseball. When you see the new stadiums being built around the league, you can really tell how they are giving them an old time look....

We didn't play the A's, We Froze Ours Off!

by heckonwheels , Jul 20 '01
Pros: historic, small, focus on the game
Cons: cold (in early season), run down in parts, poor food selection
We spent spring break in Chicago. Of course, in the quest for all the baseball stadia, we had to see a game at venerable Wrigley Field. I'll put this caveat in right now, maybe we should have tried later in the year.

Wrigley is a beautiful...

The reason the Cub's sell out

by readhttp , Mar 08 '00
Pros: Seating near ball field, grass surface, bleachers
Cons: Only a so so team
As a Cub fan my entire life, I have yet to witness a successful and winning team. But the real kick is not really having the greatest team, but in fact being able to enjoy a REAL baseball game.

Wrigley Field is still a REAL ballpark, it is...

Baseball Heaven

by klicous1977 , Jun 16 '02
Pros: Atmosphere, Atmosphere, Atmosphere
Cons: Sometimes tickets (especially week-ends) are hard to get. Parking.
Wrigley field. This is what baseball is all about. This stadium is not your typical major league baseball park. This stadium gives you the feel of your local neighborhood ball park. Even in the upperdeck you get a great view of the field and players....

3 strikes and your out

by diamondgoat69 , Apr 19 '00
Pros: Beautiful Field, lots of history
Cons: Go there to see the Cubbies lose most of the time.
Wrigley Field is one of the best ballparks to be in. The Cubs fans are second to none and you will be in baseball heaven.

This is one of the best ballparks in the history of baseball, I mean it is the second oldest park around and they have...

Great Little Ballpark

by jsweil , Aug 13 '00
Pros: good fans, lots to do and see in area including game
Cons: Parking could be better, food can be expensive
I recently saw my first Cubs game. I went back in June of this year. It was so much fun. There's just so much to do in and around the stadium. The stadium is so small that if you're not careful you might walk by it. This is definitely a ballpark...

Feels like home

by doakley64 , May 07 '01
Pros: excellent view of game, beautiful park
Cons: seat access, parking
My son and I like to attend baseball games in various ballparks, with the ultimate goal being the completion of the major league circuit. This time, as he finished his finals, it was our turn to go to Wrigley Field with the rest of the family. Let me...
