Pros: exceptional innovation, dual heat control device, easy to read digital numbers, comfortable Cons: larger size costs eighty bucks...can become expensive when purchasing more than one
First, let me state for the record that I am having great difficulty keeping warm this late autumn into winter season in the Catskills. The weather has been unseasonably colder than usual for this time of year. My home is heated with propane and the heat ...
COLD, NOT WARM, BLANKET! by mermaid7seas ,Oct 10 '05
Pros: No pros to this product Cons: Does not get warm, ever
This overpriced $100 electric warming blanket does not get warm, ever. No matter what you do. No change from ice-cold. I have purchased 2 of them, hoping one would work, but no soap. Pre-heat does not work, turning off & on doesn't work, changing temps doesn't work. I hate this blanket. Too bad they can't have a website or customer service office for complaints or returns or suggestions. Sunbeam doesn't want to hear about it, I guess.
No customer service, whatsoever! by ggrimes02 ,Oct 24 '05
Pros: my blanket (IQ2, circa 1998) warmed well and the 2 zones were nice Cons: the rocker switches broke; doesn't always turn on -have to unplug/replug
I have a similar blanket whose rocker switches cracked (both of them).
I've sent several emails - over several months - and attempted to call customer service. There's no one home! I get no email response and no one answers the phone! The parts I seek can't cost more than 50 cents each and yet I can't talk to anyone at the company to avert another $100 purchase. Their customer service line said - "too busy, call later or (get this) write us a letter!"
I, for one, will never buy another Sunbeam product for fear that I may one day need to communicate with the apparently *single* customer service rep that works there.
Pros: The only pro I have found about this blanket is the hilarious "independent" review offered Cons: Sunbeam making crappy products with a shorter lifespan than the cardboard box they came in.
SUNBEAM- The greatest thing since sliced bread...LOL
Holy crap! Wonder how the fools at Sunbeam can actually believe that we consumers are stupid enough to buy a 3000 word post on a blog from a lady in the Catskills who has nothing better to do but write copy for Sunbeam.
My parents let me have theirs for free and I am about to throw the cheap thing in the trash.
You can't even find a stinking online users manual.
