  • Fair and Balanced --- NOT

    Nov 17, 2000 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Amusing
Cons: Far from Fair and Balanced

Summary: No doubt, many of you have been glued to your television sets, as I have, waiting to hear the latest events happening in Florida and Election 2000. My husband and I tend to switch from Fox News, to CNN, to MSNBC, to catch the recent updates that have ... read more

  • Fox News Review : A load of garbage

    Dec 15, 2013 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: The Anchormen and women are kind hearted, funny people. They love to brighten everyones morning.
Cons: The Anchormen and women do a poor job presenting the most serious of breaking news.

Summary: I'm very disapointed to say that over the past decade, the quality of the news provided by Fox News is not there anymore. In my personal opinion, Fox is such an unrelaible news source. If you want real news, tune into CNN. CNN covers major events, and ... read more

  • Unfair and Unbalanced

    May 31, 2013 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: If you are a conservative then this is the best news for you
Cons: One sided portrayal of everything.

Summary: I consider myself to be a Democrat and tend to look at things from a liberal point of view.  However, I think that it is valuable to ascertain information from a variety of sources before forming an opinion on a particular topic.  I will admit ... read more

  • How nice it would be to have my news without liberal or conservative bias.

    Aug 19, 2008 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Shows conservative viewpoint. Has several very good liberal political analysts.
Cons: It is conservatively biased, and too much celebrity and sensational news. Geraldo Rivera!

Summary: I consider myself a conservative, not necessarily a Republican, but I do like to make my own decisions without any liberal or conservative bias thrown in. Whatever Fox may say there is a definite bias to their reporting. I do not think they lean ... read more

  • Fox News - Fair, Balanced and Truthful

    Mar 20, 2007 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Accurate, comprehensive, entertaining
Cons: Geraldo Rivera - too much sensationalism - doesn't fit in.

Summary: Fox News has it all - accurate reporting, entertaining, great interviews, extensive coverage of all types of news. Every once in a while, I'll flip over to one of the other news stations, CNN maybe - and after watching for a very short time, I'm right ... read more

  • Fox News Channel: Fair? Balanced? I Don't Think So!

    Mar 20, 2007 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: You can avoid it if you know its channel number
Cons: Overuse of patriotic images, coins terms such as "homicide bombers"

Summary: Ever since the late President Ronald Reagan and uber-conservative Republicans in and out of the government claimed that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which oversees the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) had (and supposedly still has) a ... read more

  • Fair and Balanced, eh?

    Mar 12, 2007 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: Conservative viewpoint. Straight talk.
    Cons: Bias still exists.

Summary: So, why do we really watch Fox News Channel? Is it really because deep down we’re looking for a fair and balanced reporting of the new stories at hand, or is it that in our mind (that of conservatives), that the only thing we would accept is fair ... read more

  • Fox News: We Extort, You Comply

    Oct 18, 2005 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Fun to tune into when you want a good laugh
Cons: Rude anchors, one point of view only -- THEIRS -- much more opinion than news.

Summary: Here's a confession: I live in a divided house, at least when it comes to cable news television. The main times I'm exposed to the toilet of Fox News is when I hear my husband listening to it. HE likes it. And that's a conundrum that I'll never ... read more

  • We report...you get it wrong

    Nov 17, 2003 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: The Simpsons is on Fox.
    Cons: Denial.

Summary: It seems that, despite the purported "liberal" bias of the media, Fox News in particular actually leans quite far in the opposite direction. A recent study, entitled "Misperceptions, The Media and the Iraq War," conducted by the Program on Internationa ... read more

  • I LOVE the balanced view

    Jul 20, 2002 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
    Pros: The only Un-Jewish Network
Cons: They need a big three presence

Summary: Everyone knows that Jews control the big three ABC, CBS, and NBC as well as almost all the Unites State's major newspapers and CNN. Everyone also know that Jews are 99% liberal and they have a clear cut ZIONIST agenda. "Isreal First" is their battle ... read more

  • The Horrible Biased Network

    May 27, 2002 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
    Pros: None
Cons: Politically biased, exaggeration, obsessed with live, even though it isn't

Summary: Though the simple and weak-minded may like it, most of us will see through the flashy layouts, sounds, and color. Take away all the graphics and sounds and what's left? Nothing worth my time! Other than having too much makeup on all their anchors, they ... read more

  • Leans to the right, but good news overall

    Apr 28, 2002 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: Good personalities, somewhat balanced news, good-looking "newsbabes"
Cons: Leans a little bit too far to the right

Summary: I started watching this network for news after getting tired of the same drivel CNN was putting out. Yes, this network does lean to the right (whereas CNN is a bit more liberal) but they try to put out "fair and balanced news." Most of the time, they ... read more

  • The Media & the Corruption of the American Child

    Mar 31, 2002 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: It shed brand new light on the rather shady works of the show business world
Cons: It could of gone much further in depth

Summary: Bill O'Reilly hosted a TV special on Fox (yes, I realize that it's pretty ironic that an expose on sleaziness in the media would air on all networks Fox) concerning how arguably troublesome images from the movies, music, internet, etc. have managed to ... read more

  • Fox News is Fair and Balanced

    Mar 30, 2002 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: One word, O'Reilly
Cons: Commercials can be long, but they have to pay for those good people some way

Summary: Fox News Channel is the reason, other than The Weather Channel and TechTV that I would have cable television. They have very good talent and very good presentation. I love the way they debate issues. Debates with both sides represented honestly and ... read more

  • Fox News - Eat your heart out, CNN

    Feb 8, 2002 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Bill O'Reilly, Greta Van Susteren, Geraldo Rivera, and an overall fresh approach to news.
Cons: Sometimes the fast pace can be slightly overwhelming.

Summary: In the last couple of years, it has been most interesting to see other news networks rise to prominence alongside CNN (MSNBC, CNBC, etc). However, the king of the newer networks is Fox News, and it is rightfully giving CNN a run for its money. ... read more

  • Honest Reporting

    Dec 8, 2001 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
    Pros: Love the Channel!
Cons: Sometime Bill O'Rielly does get carried away!

Summary: I love the Fox Channel and I believe it is more fair and balanced than some of the other stations. They may lean a little to the right but they do give, and welcome, opposing sides of any issue. Bill O'Rielly does tend to get on a band wagon for any ... read more

  • Where's GerWaldo?

    Dec 8, 2001 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
    Pros: They've got Geraldo.
Cons: Where are they keeping him?

Summary: Letís just keep this between us, but I have a dirty little secret. Sometimes I like Geraldo Rivera. Itís an on-again, off-again kind of thing. Iím fickle that way. I was as puzzled as the rest of the free world by that thing in the mafia tunnel. And ... read more

  • The Best Cable News Network - by far

    Nov 27, 2001 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Interesting news you don't hear anywhere else More Entertaining
    Cons: None!

Summary: I started watching Fox News about a year ago, when Time Warner Cable finally decided to carry the channel. It was their best addition ever. Prime-time shows on Fox News are very educational and somewhat entertaining. The O'Reilly Factor (8PM ... read more

  • You can't outwit the fox!

    Nov 19, 2001 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: only moderate news out there!
Cons: gets a lot of 'guff from other news people

Summary: Fox news is the only news in my mind! First, let me tell you about my first experience with the network. I was 16, and quite fed up with the news... I recently got cable and we had a class assignment that had to do with news... I had to view ... read more

  • All The News That's Fit To Twist

    Oct 9, 2001 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: The occasional non-biased news item
Cons: Political opinion dressed as journalism for the simple-minded

Summary: "Think globally - act locally." Yet another well-meaning philosophy which has been usurped and perverted by the mainstream, and turned into little more than a hackneyed phrase used to peddle half-liters of designer mineral water, or the latest painfully ... read more

  • Fox News: There for the Crusade against our enemies

    Sep 18, 2001 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Commentators from shows I respect like INSIDE EDITION and HARD COPY.
    Cons: None!

Summary: Luckily, my local cable affiliate just added Fox News to its standard lineup. If I would have had to watch CNN through the recent national tragedy, I don't know what I would've done. I'm in as much shock as most Americans are right now, I think. ... read more
