Pros: What you expect from a Sci Fi channel Cons: About what you expect from a Sci Fi channel :)
When I first heard about the Sci Fi channel, I labeled it A Good Thing. Then I was able to watch it...and I was disappointed because it had a lot of, well, junk. I remember about half bad anime and half oooold b-grade stuff.
Fast forward to...

Pros: Wonderful story line, plot, special effects Cons: Need More Marathons!
I can honestly say I am a big sci-fi fan (X-Files, Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon-5) and now Farscape. I have been watching this show from the beginning (and every time they have a marathon). The scripts are well written and the actors are great. The...

Pros: Hockey shows Cons: Narrow audience.
I watched when I first got then Marcus Cable & loved the shows it aired IE Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Time Tunnel, & Showtime Outer Limits.
But since 1998, the shows are Boring, soap opera like & hokey costumes:

Pros: Movies you can't find on any other channel Cons: Movies are edited
Although Sci Fi's content is mostly made up of shows like Stargate SG 1, Farscape, Babylon 5 and the uninteresting Crossing Over with John Edwards, they do play old horror films occasionally. I've seen the Hellraiser movies, From Beyond, Blood Diner, the...

Pros: The good shows Cons: The bad old cheap shows
I love the concept, but I don't see a true love or passion driving this network. It is just another corporate attempt to make money. Take the fact they canceled MST3k, and fill the time up with cheaper repeats and reruns. They pay for sliders to be made...

Pros: Invisible Man, Farscape Cons: canceling Sliders, Lexx, First Wave
Sci-Fi used to be one of the best TV channels out there. With series like Farscape and Sliders, it was alot of fun to watch. Now, it's a shadow of its former self. Is Lexx science fiction? Maybe. Is Xena or Hercules science fiction? Yeah right. Adding to...

Pros: Movies that never were seen before Cons: Paying money for no reason!
Sci fi is pretty good at bringing on great movies and some good shows but why do I have to pay for something that has comercials and edited movies why why why do I have to sit 5 minutes just for a movie or show to come back on why is sci fi so oblivious...

Pros: Great Old Stuff! Cons: Need more NEW stuff
Come into the world of SCI-FI and you may never leave! It is a good way to escape reality and the Sci-FI channel gives you all you need especially if you are a science fiction "junkie" like alot of people. I like to watch it because it is very...

Pros: Really funny! Cons: Too many sleazy sex jokes for some people.
Take the cheesiness of "Star Trek" and add a heapin' helpin' of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and you'll get an idea of what to expect from "Lexx", a new SciFi original series. It has halfway decent special...

Pros: Reruns of Classic Series Cons: Too many commercials about themselves
I signed up for digital cable because of the Sci-Fi channel, and it was definitely worth it. I have used it to watch classic sci-fi such as Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, and Star Trek, in addition to newer series such as Farscape. There is one problem,...

Too many commercials.
by way2muchsense ,Nov 17 '03
Pros: Science Fiction 24/7. Nuff said. Cons: 2/3 commercials 1/3 show.
I remember right before they went to DVD, Sci Fi ran the original Star Trek series from beginning to end. Problem was, they ran it for an hour and a half at a time to be able to cram in so many commercials, I forgot what it was I was watching. So it is with Sci Fi.
