Pros: A great 80's classic. The theme song. Cons: 80's effects, acting, and clothing.
Within our society we are engrossed with hundreds of famous and important combinations and duos. We run around everyday doing our chores of life not even giving one thought to the vital roles these combinations and duos play in our existence on this...

Pros: four well qualified commentators Cons: one unqualified, useless commentator, no Anna Kournikova
Wimbledon, England. The site of the world's most prestigious tennis championship, which is currently underway, Wimbledon, with its' tradition, its' white attire, its' royalty and its' green lawns.
That same Wimbledon is brought home to us in...

Pros: A fun political movie Cons: Some unrealistic items
To get myself in the mood for the Democratic National Convention this week, I thought I would relax last night with TNT's newest original movie, "Running Mates". I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would, but I credit my tears at the end as...

Pros: Great job of acting by James Franco in the title role; well written Cons: Not long enough with all the stupid commercials
Another of life's semi-amazing coincidences occurred this weekend as TNT aired "James Dean" the night after I saw "Rebel Without A Cause" at our refurbished downtown theater
(see my last review). All in all, it was a far above average made-for-TV...

Pros: The Closer and other original programming. Cons: Only one night of original programming.
For some reason, my wife does not particularly care for actress Krya Sedgwick (Another World, Kansas, Loverboy). I have to admit some of earlier movies were not exactly my cup of tea, but then I started to see something different from the ...

Pros: Live and new every week, Nitro is one of the best shows on cable for a combination of sports, drama, and overall entertainment. Cons: Production quality and general creativity are lacking. If you can handle the slightly more crude content of the WWF, then Raw is the superior choice.
For the past few years, there have been two shows that have been by and far the most consistently, highest-rated programs on cable television:
WWF Raw and WCW Nitro.
I have already written an epinion on the first, so now I will write one...

Pros: Had it's good days. Cons: Went down hill in last year.
Down the Drain is exactly were WCW is going. The show use to be good, but then they started with all the soap opera bad acting and showing off like little children. Know WWF on the other hand is doing great with Wrestler's like "The Rock"...

Pros: storylines are getting better, more action with the stars Cons: only 2hrs
A few years ago, WCW nitro was on the top of the wrestling world. WIth a few wrestlers being released, a fews whos contract ended, the end product began to suffer. In the past the wrestlers who left were Syxx (x-pac)
Chris Jericho (y2j). And most...

Pros: Original, makes you think. Never thought I'd be saying that about a show on TNT... Cons: Tech and acting credits aren't the highest calibur
Part of TNT's "Action Wednesdays" "Dead Man's Gun" - a sort of Outer Limits that takes place in the Mythic American West - has been airing since last January. Though many episodes originally aired on Showtime as long ago as 1997, the...

Pros: Great variety Cons: TOO MANY COMMERCIALS!
I am not a huge watcher of TV to begin with, but one channel I do normally enjoy watching is TNT. Like most all of the Turner networks, it offers a great deal of variety to appeal to viewers of all tastes. And while I do get somewhat annoyed at the...

Pros: Knicks, Yankees Cons: Wrestling, Baywatch, Bad Movies
I do not like TNT that much. In fact, you could say I don't like it at all. Whenever I put it on, it is always some fake wrestling or maybe some Baywatch reruns. Neither of these are very fun to watch and not very exciting, either.
The only...

Pros: Fantastic original movies Cons: Too much Turner
I'm a regular viewer of TNT, have been for a couple of years. They have some decent shows and everybody is familiar with their sports specials. There is one thing that makes TNT stand out. Their original movies. TNT is known to have some of the best...

Pros: Pro Basketball Coverage, Now covering Wimbeldon Cons: Craig Sager
I am a huge sports fan so literally 90% of the time I watch television in the evenings it is ESPN, except during NBA season. I actually don't know why ESPN doesn't do Pro Basketball but TNT does a good job. I enjoy most of their analysts and...

Pros: nicely done Cons: certain topics deserve more time
I just happened across the most interesting show! Faces of evil on the TNT channel is an actual documentary on the origins of evil. A lot of information was crammed into an hour and a half of show, but it would have kept my interest for a whole series...
