Pros: Kind of interesting for awhile. Some of the ladies are nice, but they're usually quiet and it annoys me they like him. Cons: Alby and his huge ego, Not as educational as old nature shows. Alby emphasizes adventure and of course, himself
My first review of this character was more like a comment than a review. It was accurate, but on the request of another reader I will add a few thoughts.

Pros: Occasionally has useful information. Cons: Dumped quality, exciting shows like AdventureBound and LonelyPlanet for poker games & cooking shows.
Years ago I watched the Travel Channel all the time. I haven't been able to find anything interesting on the channel in ages. I can't figure out why on earth gambling and cooking shows are on a channel devoted to travel??? What crackhead thought to put poker tournaments on this channel???
Also, real people can relate to budget travel better than to "Travels of the Rich and Famous"... I much more enjoyed LONELY PLANET (with the fantastic Ian Wright) and ADVENTURE BOUND (with ultra cool Alby Mangels) than I ever do watching the booooooooring specials the channel makes itself ("World's Most Whatever Whatever")... the narrator's voice alone on all these shows annoys me.
I'm noticing that Discovery-owned channels tend to rerun rerun rerun ad nauseum. I would not mind as much if the endless repeats were at least interesting.
I enjoy a wee dose now and then of glamourous places but I'd really like to see practical travel information more often.
