Cons: Their educational programming is late at night. Otherwise, not enough California-oriented content during the day, but fine at night.
Fine, I admit it. I'm a storm junkie. I love lightning; the pounding rain slamming into the window; hail thundering down on the roof.

Weather Channel Rocks!
by bsabers ,Dec 05 '06
Pros: Excellent local forecasts, top notch Meteorologists
Cons: lack of radars shown late at night
If there was one channel that I could never do without it would without a doubt be The Weather Channel. From the detailed local forecasts to the outstanding coverage during hurricane season, The Weather Channel just doesn't miss a beat. One of the greatest features of the channel is the "Local on the 8s" These are local forecasts for the specific viewers area, and they occur every 10 minutes when the clock strikes an 8. These local forecasts provide you with an outlook for the next couple of days, as well as a local radar which can tell you if there is some rain or possibly snow around. The Weather Channel has really improved over the years, and is now ranked very high on a lot of people's list of favorite channels. They get a 10/10 in my books!
