Pros: Local weather every 15 min., moon charts, storm watches Cons: Their educational programming is late at night. Otherwise, not enough California-oriented content during the day, but fine at night.
Fine, I admit it. I'm a storm junkie. I love lightning; the pounding rain slamming into the window; hail thundering down on the roof.
And then I discovered the Weather Channel. Of course, this meant I was instantly hooked.

Pros: Great forecasting Cons: just the weather
The Weather is informative, sensational, well delivered Tv programming.
When I wake up in the morning, I quickly go to www.weather.com, the Weather Channel's web site, and look up how the day is going to be along with the extended forecast. Another...

Pros: useful tools Cons: that awful music
Face it! you know you watch the weather channel because of the music. My roommates parents watch it like its a religion or something...they know all the weathermen by names...they know when they had their children (and to make it more scary I think they...

Pros: Up to date 24 hours a day Cons: To many commercials
I love the Weather Channel. I live in Florida and it seems to be weather active all the time. I like knowing that I can tune in 24 hours a day and find out what is going on. The schedule is set so that I know I can tune in at the top of the hour for...

Pros: good overview of entire country, great if you're traveling Cons: not dependable, specific enough for local areas
Yesterday I was glued to the Weather Channel, getting information on the impending storm (1/30). The Weather Channel is helpful when it comes to seeing the "big picture", an overview of what's going on. However, when it comes to predicting MY...

Pros: great concept, they show maps from which one can make their own deductions Cons: low reliability, unbelievable,
Predicting the future is a hard thing to do but seemingly it is an illustrious business. From Dionne Warwick to the Weather Channel it seems everywhere you turn someone is trying to cash in on the future. The Weather Channel is just missing its mark too...

Pros: Need Info Cons: Over and over and over
OK...I watch the Weather Channel...or a lot of the time, it watches me...harmless background noise. Yes, it is informative. Yes, the specialty shows are interesting, especially Tornado oriented ones. But, how many times can you watch your local...

Pros: quick and concise Cons: how much weather is there to report about?
One my way to work every morning, I have to turn on the Weather Channel to see whether or not I would need an umbrella for the day. With a set schedule that focuses on you local forecast several times an hour, it is the perfect weather source for the...

Pros: Up to the minute Cons: No weather to report makes a dull broadcast
24 hours of just the weather. Sounds dull, unless you need a good weather report *right now*. No waiting until the 6:00 news, it's just a click away.
You can't say much about the weather, unless you work for this network. They can say a lot....

Pros: Explains weather features, great forcasts and maps Cons: Focus too much on big cities, try to hard at making it entertaining
Helpful in some cases
Weather is a major factor in life, and the Weather Channel goal is to keep you informed of changing weather events. Well they pass in some parts and fail in others. The channel is good if you can not get to a computer...

I really enjoy having the weather channel at my beckon call. It helps me to plan the weeks events. It also helps me in deciding what to pack when going out of state.

Pros: Local weather every 8 minutes... Cons: Local weather only every 8 mintues...
If you have the Internet then you don't need this channel anymore. I think this channel has gone the way of QVC why shop over the TV with QVC when you can shop over the Internet. And why wait for the local weather over the TV when you can get it now over...

Pros: Informative...Up to the Minute Weather Cons: How exciting can weather be??
When the Weather Channel was first offered to us years ago through our Cable Company, I didn't pay it much attention. Let's face it, 24 hours of non-stop weather talk??? Was that even possible to do?
As time went on, I would check it out when I...

Pros: It does give the weather, eventually. Cons: It takes forever to give you the information you need, and by the time you get it, you're asleep.
What is it about guys and the Weather Channel? I fall asleep, but my Dad can sit there watching it for hours. That and that NYC area traffic channel. I'm informed by a friend that it's the same with her boyfriend, and then she thanked the Lord they...

Pros: On Tv. On PC. The music during the local forecast. Cons: When you just miss the local forcast and you are like son of a!
The weather channel cant be matched in its comprehensive coverage of anything from cold poo in the north to warm in the south. I mean, there is weather on the 8's and all that stuff, its just unreal. If you want weather, then you got to turn on the...
