Christmas 2007 ~ New Year's 2008 was spent in Lisbon, Portugal, and since the trip was not planned-in-advance, using OnePass miles was a better option than buying a ticket; a round-trip economy ticket cost only 50,000 points. Since ...

Pros: Quiet, relaxing travel with plenty of legroom Cons: Hassle of checking your luggage twice, finding your way through Charles de Gaulle airport
Why am I writing the 83rd review on Air France? Because there's a niche part of Air France's market that I've become familiar with over the last year and that I haven't seen reviewed here. Air France runs a Thalys high speed train (TGV="Tay Zhay...
Pros: that I actually got the tickets in the end Cons: they overcharge intentionally, horrible customer service, don't try to please customer, have dishonest employees
This is a review of the point of purchase with Air France, and the ensuing customer relations experiences. Air France flies to and from many destinations, primarily serving those passengers trying to visit France, or to head from France to somewhere ...
Pros: The food is excellent, and AF's fleet of Airbus jets is top-notch. Cons: Main hub of AF is Charles De Gaulle airport, the AIRPORT OF ALL THINGS UNHOLY!
Allow me to introduce you to the worst nightmare in travel you could possibly fathom. This was MY nightmare. I know this review is long, but it had to be this way. If you've ever considered flying Air France, please....you owe it to yourself to read this...
When I put in a request to Priceline for a $430 flight from Chicago to Oslo, Norway, I didn't have much hope of my offer being accepted. However, less than an hour later, there was an email saying it was accepted, and I'd be flying Air France. Hmmm… I...
Pros: Nice Aircraft, Nice Cabin Interiors Cons: Charles De Gaul Airport
When it became obvious to me that I would need to travel from Dubai to LAX and back to Dubai on business, I quickly called Josee, my long suffering and capable travel agent. "Book me on Emirates to LAX." ... At least that is how I REMEMBER the ...
Pros: International in-flight service, reasonable value Cons: Hell's Outhouse (CDG), AF ground staff's "it's not possible" attitude
As an American resident of France, I fly AF frequently, sometimes by choice, sometimes because it is the only way to get there from here. I will reflect on my overall impression and share my philosophy about making the most out of long days of travel on ...

Pros: good airline food Cons: less than stellar customer service record
The biggest problem I have with Air France is that flying with them means you are occasionally required to deal with the French. I realize that it’s “wrong” to stereotype and I’m sure I’m not being very politically correct when I say this, but the...
Pros: They fly to Paris? That's always good. Inflight service, frequent service. Cons: Ground crew, de Gaulle airport
Yeah, so this review is long. Atrociously so. If you don't want to read it all the way through, read the very end. My grandmother and I flew Air France from Washington Dulles Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport on July 11, 2005, and returned ...
Pros: Friendly, accommodating (within reason), entertainment, decent food. Cons: Transfer time less than one hour not recommended.

Pros: Delta Air Lines Sky Miles code share partner Cons: Very little leg room on a big Boeing 747
I flew Air France March 31, 2001 from Miami to Paris and returned April 13, 2001 from Paris to Miami. I called Air France weeks in advance to see the availability and price for the dates I wanted to fly. I was happy that Air France flew non stop from...

Excellent selection of French wines and champagne ... and you'll need it. Cons: Safety, service, comfort, punctuality, attitude, pilot skill, professionalism. Not recommended for non-smokers - yes, you can smoke on board!

Pros: Smooth, efficient, elegant flying at an excellent price with pre-tastes of French cuisine. Cons: On a French plane, you may expect bad reactions if you disrespect French culture.
Looking over my fellow critics' opinions of AIR FRANCE, I was surprised by the number of veteran travelers who put the airline down because a bag was lost at the airport, or on one of nine flights with the line, a person died (inconveniencing the...
Pros: Modern and clean aircraft.
Comfortable seats. Cons: I don't have any.
In my many travels, I have flown on Air France two times, both were one-way flights. I was very impressed with how clean and bright(well lighted) the cabins were.

Pros: Air France employees try to be helpful. Cons: The airline is not as efficient as the alternative, TGV high speed trains.
I flew to Paris from Chicago on United, and connected to Air France to fly to Lyon, France. While my flight on United was excellent, my flight on Air France reminded me a little of Chevy Chase's "European Vacation" and "Turbulence".
Pros: Good connections, reasonable fares, good food (on selected flight) Cons: Unpredictable service; you never know what you are going to have
I flew Air France twice and these were very different experiences. It seems that the flights that originate in France are better prepared and the service is overall better. Those originating in the US are unpredictable.
Pros: BEST service, and food Cons: prices a little steep for students
I’ve been flying Air France for 20 years, and have NEVER been disappointed by their excellent service. I flew as an unaccompanied minor (UM) from the age of 4 to age 12. I was always very well attended to and given special privileges as such. I would...

Pros: Good food, better-than-US-airlines service Cons: Service not THAT great when compared with other European airlines
We flew on Air France a couple of months ago when traveling from D.C. to Portugal to visit my husband's family. We were flying in mid-February, which is the least busy time for flights to Europe. Having done the same last year, albeit on a different...
Pros: polite service; timely; comfortable; great food! Cons: It was difficult to communicate with the attendants because I didn't speak French and they didn't speak English very well. Movie selection wasn't too great.
If there is anything to be said about a plane trip that lasts for more hours than can be counted on the fingers of two hands, it is definitely agony. That is, unless you happen to be so fortunate as to be aboard an AIR FRANCE flight.
Pros: food, space, comfort Cons: loosing my reserved tickets
I am one of the fortunate few that gets to fly to France at least once a year. When I do so, my airline of choice is Air France. That is not to say that Air France doesn't have its problems, but I believe the good far outweigh the bad.
Pros: I'm thinking, something will come to mind eventually - Pleasant cabin crew Cons: Dishonesty, witholding information, Bad mouthing competitors, Delays, Lost baggage, L-O-N-G Lines, Disregard for customers
Recently I flew from Philadelphia to Budapest and back with 5 people. The only things even remotely positive about the trip were that a) the cabin crew was pleasant and b) I'll never have contact with Air France again.
Pros: Cheap Price Cons: Uncaring staff, poor leg room

Pros: Good service, kind flight attendants, good food, decent seat pitch. AF shuttle bus Cons: CDG is confusing the first time. Monitor the news for transportation strikes.
I've flown to Europe six times in the past couple of years. Twice on AF, thrice on Lufthansa, and once on Delta.
AF is consistently the better of the three. Lufthansa's seat pitch must be designed by a midget Dominatrix.
I'm 190 cm tall, 110...
Pros: Problem was eventually solved Cons: Rude, discourteous agents; wrong times posted; no self check-in; no signs
To make a very long story shorter, I will try not go into too much detail, but believe you me, there is plenty of it. :P After missing an Air France connection because of a 6-hour Delta delay, my (Swedish) husband was re-booked by Delta on Air France ...
We first flew Air France two years ago. We were warned that their hub system in Paris is inadequate – that passengers were at risk of missing connections. We called Air France to try and give ourselves more time, but they insisted there would be no...

Pros: Good food, nice in-flight service, seats even in coach are nice Cons: Snotty, stuck-up staff at the airport, chaotic stand-by service
Overall, I loved my several Air France experiences. The food and comfortable seating are my most vivid memories. I didn't think airline food could taste so good unless you were in first or business class.
Pros: none Cons: unorganized; no reimbursement of additional costs; extremely rude

The title of this opinion pretty much represents the extent of my knowledge of French, so it's appropriate that I apply it to Air France, who gave me a horrible, dreadful flight between Paris and New York.
Pros: Awesome crew, wine, veggie food Cons: smoking on some flights allowed in certain areas of the craft

Pros: Individual TV screens on some flights. The flight attendant said my son was beautiful. Cons: DeGaulle airport, cramped seating, bad food, no boarding system in France.
Air France was really bad for us. We got switched to Air France when our Flight with AlItalia (see that review) was late and we couldn't make our connecting flight. At the baggage check-in, the agent took our stroller and guaranteed that we'd have it ...
Pros: Delta is at Charles de Gaulle, and the person there was nice and helpful. Cons: Everything!
I recently traveled through Charles de Gaulle and had the unpleasant experience of dealing with Air France employees. Our flight to Paris had been delayed by an hour causing us to miss our connection. Not only were the Air France employees not helpful ...
Pros: they got me there and did not crash Cons: horrid snobby and completely disrespectful customer service, no sense of 'service'
I fly a lot. And I have never encountered such unabashed rudeness and total indifference towards their customers needs that I have encountered at Air France. I was flying from Buenos Aires to London via Paris, carrying a lot of luggage. Before the trip ...
Pros: nice planes, on time, good food Cons: rude and hurtful customer service

We traveled on Air France from New York to Delhi on July 3, 2002 through Paris. Our bags were mishandled and we received our luggage 3 days late. We filed a claim report and were told that our bags would be received by July 6. On July 6, we called Air...
Pros: Child meals are very nice. Cons: Never heard of Gate Checking a stroller
Air France will NOT gate check a stroller and even if it will fit in the overhead bin, our Peg Pilko did and they let the bin fly empty rather than let our stroller use it. They will remove a stroller brought onto the plane, check it and force you to ...
Pros: Good Destinations - Frequency - Price - Decent Food and Movies Cons: CDG Airport - Unpredictable Food - Old Airbus - Luggage Mayhem
I take Air France between 4 to 6 times per year from Italy to the United States. Why? Continental Miles and generally the cheapest tickets, not to mention 7 flights from Florence to Paris per day. I have usually been very lucky in that I get put on a new...
Pros: Wonderful food, helpful attendants, very positive impression in short flight within Europe Cons: Small planes for short flights
I recently (July 2002) flew Air France, operated by Grandalf Airlines from Milan to Paris and back. The flight was about 1.5 -2 hours long. These were small planes (I think the brazilian ones) with large leather seats, two on each side of the aisle on...
Pros: We arrived alive Cons: Inedible food, rude service, lost bags, and shabby aircraft
I stepped onto the AirFrance 777 and quickly noticed how shabby the interior looked - this plane couldn't have been more than 7 years old, yet it looked like it was 40! The male flight attendants in my cabin (coach) were rude and unfriendly, and either...
Pros: Good connection Cons: Old planes, poor service, poor food
I was booked on flight Air France AF 090 from Paris to Miami. The flight was late more than 1,5 hours. The check in for business class in was terrible. We had to wait in long lines. The plane looked very old. The cabin was worn.
The seats were...
Pros: None, other than it controls Paris CDG Cons: Service sucks, seats suck, totally overpriced, and do not value frequent flyers
I have now lived in Europe for four years and flown all of the majors. I currently live in Pairs and therefore have the misfortune of being in a captive Air France market. Their personnel are consistently rude; they do not work to help frequent fliers...
Pros: I found nothing positive about my experience with Air France. Cons: The entire experience was one big Con.
I have never come across an airline that treats their customers so badly. I called to buy tickets using American Express points as miles. They wouldn't tell me what the taxes were before I transferred the points. Only after the points ...
Pros: Decent food, attractive looking staff (isn't that shallow) Cons: Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Old planes.

Air France is one of the biggest airlines with the worst customer service. On first impression, the plane looks old and the cabin was a mess. Taken for granted that the flight was on transit from Paris. However, it was still not up to standard. The...
Pros: Good food and attendants coming FROM France

I flew Air France from Shanghai to London in 1998. The long flight, I believe was 15 hours or so, only had ONE MEAL and it was a mere 1 hour into the flight. I was only served a sandwich. And guess what = the sandwich was rotten as I found out during...
Flight delays with no help from the staff (who are rude and insensitive) though our connecting flight only operates twice a week ! All they wanted to do was pass the buck to Paris. Quote "Well if you don't make it they'll sort something out in Paris"....
Pros: Great food, comfortable planes, professional crews Cons: Not always the most riveting movie choices
I am never quite sure why Air France continues to get a bad rap. Since 1992, I have gone to France at least once a year; many of those times, I have had the distinct pleasure of flying Air France. Never has my experience with this airline been anything...
Pros: Well connected and good service Cons: Will it continue ?
Recently, my wife and I flew Air France from France to Italy and then from Italy to Houston, Texas. The travel part was not near as bad as we feared. Air France has timely connections and good service.
Pros: None thanks it did not crash! Cons: rude & insensitive
I live in the UK and I am a frequent traveller with my two children (3.5yrs & 2yrs). I have used other airlines such as SAA, British Airways, Alitalia. In December I bought a last minute flight to South Africa on Air France(cheapest & I now know...

Pros: service, smooth flight Cons: not a modern plane
In sharp contrast to my Alitalia flight, Air France gave us great service, very good food, and a pilot that spoke English as well as French. Most importantly the flight was smooth and we had a good landing. The airplane was not very old but was not one...
Pros: none whatsoever Cons: easily the worst airline i've ever flown in my entire life.
I hate Air France. I got to the airport 10 hours early in Paris to get back to America.. I am 6'6".. I requested an exit row seat, or at the least, an aisle seat, because being stuck in the middle is pure torture for me. Because I was there so ...
Several years ago I flew to Paris on Air France. Overall the experience was okay. First of all the seats are not very roomy (I'm not a big person), there was not much leg room either. It's a long flight from Los Angeles to Paris and I expected to be...
Pros: Often, good food Cons: Bad seats, Bad Service
In Europe Air France has good connections between Paris and any European city. Overall, for me, they rate very low for service, they are inflexible, and very often see the passenger as a "problem" both on the ground and in the air. The seats in...
Pros: Good food and good service. Cons: Smoky, cramped, and long toilet lines.
I was not very impressed with this airline. The airplanes were very cramped with little leg room and the lines for the bathroom required a 15 minute wait. It was smoky in the plane because the smoking section was separated by just a curtain. Except...

Air France Business is really really bad by berlinmike ,Sep 14 '08
Pros: Friendly staff Cons: No comfort, bad cheap food.
I flew TXL-CDG to Tel Aviv in July 2008. Fly very frequently but have not flown Air France for a while. Did not expect Singapore style on the 4,5H flight from Paris to Tel Aviv but not Easyjet either. Well, my experience was much more like Easyjet than anything else. The seats are more or less economy with the only difference that the middle seat is kept free. The pitch is terrible. Now.... for the food. One expects something that comes from the national airline of France. Well, wrong again. I had ordered Gluten Free food and got that. But, how cheap can they be? The lunch was boiled fish on rice..... and for dessert? It was an Alpro Soya Dessert! Yes the ones that comes in a four pack costing approx 1,8€ for the four pack. Is that a dessert for anyone? So, how does it fit in Business Class? Shape up Air France, you must know you can do much better than that! Fly Swiss a couple of times and learn. Or even better, fly Emirates or Singapore once and just watch how they do it.
Pros: Professionalism, food, individual flight entertainment, and, most importantly, a transfer assistant in Paris. Cons: Seating arrangement on boarding. Lengthy transfer in Paris.
Impressive. Turned out to be a uniquely French experience. Main leg to Copenhagen was AF from Newark, NJ to Paris. What was noticeable was the professionalism, food, and distractions. Other unique notes were the self serve watering stations and drawing of curtains after hours.
No Complaints for Air France by honestreview27 ,Jun 27 '07
Pros: Service, On time flights, FOOD, Luggage handling, Cons: There was only one general tv screen for everyone in coach.
Hi flew on Air France from JFK to Paris CDG, then from CDG to Rome, Fiumcino.
Not only were customer service representatives courteous they were also willing to go our of their way to help my mom and I when in need.
What really impressed me was on Thurs. 6/21/07 I arrived at the airport at 6:45 for a 7:15am flight. In my mind I knew we missed the plane due to tardiness. Not only did we get on the plane just in time but Airfrance did not loose not one of our checked in lugagges!!!!
I give Airfrance 5 stars for Service, Promtpness, Courteouness, & Food
Pros: the counter staffs at Tehran airport were very accommodating Cons: Flight crew had no control over the situation
I traveled via Air France last week, January 6, from Tehran to Paris. This is normally a 6 hours flight. I did not arrive at Paris until January 9, 3 days later. Unfortunately I had the most awful experience in my life. I had to spend 3 days in and out of airplane with a record seating on the runway of about 25 hours.
Flight crew and captain were the most inexperienced personnel I have ever seen. Flight attendance was also unbelievably inexperienced and unprofessional in dealing with crisis. I could say that, because I spent more than 32 hours with this crew inside the airplane. Yes, the flight was grounded for more than 25 hours with 270 passengers and flight crew on the runway with limited amount of food and drink with cranky passengers and snooty stewardess.
We are still waiting for feedback from Air France about the situation and reasons for such treatment of passengers.
This was the last time for me to travel via Air France does not matter the destination or price.
I had my share of spending time with snobby and inexperience flight crew.
Requested Muslim meal not provided by intelfun ,May 27 '07
Pros: Reasonable fares, relative accuracy in the arrival and departure times, smooth landings. Cons: Extremely narrow seats, very narrow legs space, and read my above review as well.
As a Muslim person I have notified my travel agent that I need a Muslim (halal) meal on the flight. Once in the air, a meal was serviced to me before everybody else with the mention _Muslim Meal_ on it, but as the crew started to service everybody else, I noticed that they got exactly the same meal I have been given. I wouldn't claim that everybody was given a Muslim meal, because all meals, as I noticed, INCLUDING MINE, contained a mini-sausage which, I believe, contained pork.
If they do not wish to accommodate Muslims with Halal meals on their flights, they can simply state it somewhere.
Pros: Their nicely designed cabins, and great service. Cons: They tend to be more expensive than others.
Air France has always been a delight to fly on. Their long haul flights are definitely their strong point. The A340 they use on many North American routes are very, very comfy! They have PTV's and the seat pitch is perfect (well, I'm not 6 feet tall). The service from the check-in agents to the cabin crew is way above average.
The smaller negative points I have found are that since they offer better-than-average flight quality their prices can be higher than other carriers but I am willing to shell out for a comfy, happy trip.
I would recommend Air France to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway they want to start when they board the plane.
Not the right choice for the passengers with babies. by sunray107 ,Jun 09 '06
Pros: affordable fares for non-stop transatlantic flights Cons: unfriendly staff, no assistance provided to the passengers with children .
We were travelling with our infant son from Washington to Paris. We were checked in by an intern or newcomer or whoever that lady was. It took her forever to do that. 2 or 3 of her colleagues came to assist her. Meantime my son was getting very uncomfortable. and this people could hardly spell our names and the final destination.
Couldn't they find a single passenger or at least the one without babies to start the training for their new staff members? Generally, I was shocked by how unfriendly the staff was. I am an experienced international traveller.I have tons of choices of transatlantic flights. This is the last time I used Air France. Flying overseas with infant is hard enough. I don't anyone, especially, people who are supposed to help me add up to my stress.
Pros: Relatively cheap Cons: Horrible check in computer system
My wife and I went to Italy for our honeymoon in January 2005. We were to return from Milan via Paris to Singapore. We checked in 5 hours early at the Malpensa Airport in Milan. The counter staff there tried to check in both flights for us. However, they were unable to allocate for us seats that were next to each other, even though their computer system clearly showed that many empty seats were available. They told us it was a known problem, but apparently nothing had been done about it. As a result we were given separate seats on our long flight back home.
Be prepared to be separated from your loved ones when you fly with Air France even when seats are available.
Quality service, good aircraft by tc211 ,Dec 13 '04
Pros: Good service, flight attendants and young and friendly Cons: None
Solid service on roundtrip Atlanta > Paris > Singapore flight. Flight attendants were young, and friendly. All spoke at least English and French (of course). The aircraft was a newer Airbus with TVs in all the seats (in couch). Your choice of TV shows, movies, or live in-flight map. The flight was comfortable and food was good. I'd recommend flying Air France based on my experience.
Pros: good games on flight, offered drinks regularly, Cons: long delays, no explanations, limited in flight entertainment compared to other airlines
Flew from Hong Kong via CDG to Heathrow with Air France. It was my first flight with Air France having always chosen different air lines. Flight from HK was average, however the food was tasteless. In flight entertainment was limited, only showing a few films.
However, the fun started in Paris, after a 12hour flight to CDG, I found out my flight to London was cancelled, then had to queue for ages in order to change to another flight which was delayed for 4 hours as well with no explanation!
Then when we finally got on the plane, we had to wait there too!
Although, the flight from HK wasn't too bad, the flight to London was a disaster and because of this i would not recommend Air France to anyone unless they enjoy being messed around. I have never had any problems like these with other airlines ive flown. I will not be flying with Air France again!
Worst Customer Service I have ever seen! by blueskies39 ,Jul 23 '07
Pros: Absolutely none Cons: Customer service, attitude of the in-life customer representatives
Air France service reminds me of pirates back in the dark ages. We were told that we will be charged a certain amount for a change in ticket over the phone upon 3 different and separate contacts. once we got to the terminal, we were charged 4 times the original price. They fully utilize the fact that the customer is at the gate with no options, but to pay and get on with their lives. This is nothing less than theft in my opinion!!
Pros: Will let you know if they let me on next time... Cons: Utterly unhelpful and arrogant
Booked with Air France on Dublin - Paris weekend flights recently. Asked helpline if I could change outbound flight as I got day off, was not able to do this, so informed them I would fly out with someone else. No problem, they said. When we tried to board for return leg, we were not let on the plane, as we were told our tickets were now invalid. For an honest mistake, which we had informed them of, there was no possibility of getting home without paying a 600 euro one way fare each. No other airline in my experience has been this difficult. Flew home with Aer Lingus the following day instead.
No reply from Customer Service two weeks after faxing the details of the incident, as instructed by ticket office on the night in question.
Pros: The planes didn't crash. Cons: Uncomfortable, old planes. Not very personable staff.
I had the misfortune of flying from Amsterdam to Paris, then Paris to Amman on on an old Air France Airbus. The stewards were not very nice, and the seats were even worse. An extremely uncomfortable flight. The only thing worse than the flight was the Charles DeGaulle airport in Paris. It was old, run down, and had a poor layout, relying on buses to shuttle you around. Plus, the concessions stands and food choices sucked.
Customer service hung up on me 8 times before getting to some idiot who could give no valuable information.
This was concerning a refund over a year away for a medical problem.
Received written responses that further humilated and denied a legitmate attempt at refund requests. Everything is in writing and everything is in their favor. The only way to deal with this airline is through legal action.
Take your bonjour and stuff it.
Soured me on a lifetime wish to visit France and Europe.
There are much nicer places in the world thank you Air France for letting me realize that.
Air France has a very bad hurricane policy. I've realized that most airlines with flights from/to Miami offer reasonable possibilities in changing both the itinerary and dates. With Air France I was not able to postpone my trip more then a few days.
A suggest that you consider this carefully when you go to Florida and the Caribbean. I found United to be good, British Airways OK and Air France at the very bottom.
Pros: Polite in-board personnel Cons: frequent lost luggage from CDG. Rude personnel.Have to argue for Hotel accomodation if miss connexion.
4 trips flying Elite to Europe in the last 12 months( Paris, Barcelona, Venice,Geneva). Lost luggage in and out of Paris on same trip. No concerns or interest from ticketing agents. Had to argue to have AF pay for an hotel due to missed connection and was finally sent after complaining to a Motel of Minus 1* category. I have to go to South America next month from Montreal. Never again will I fly on Air France, if I can avoid it. Must add that AF has not yet located my lost luggage from CDG-JFK after 48 hrs!!! Fly any other Airline if possible especially if you are flying through CDG airport
The worst customer relations. by voyageur ,Dec 08 '04
Pros: still looking for one... OK they are French Cons: bad customer relations, indifference, bad attitude
Trying to negotiate an agreement to make changes to a ticket was a horrendous experience. I have never seen a company care so little (read not at all) about keeping a customer.
Save yourself some aggravation.
Pros: na Cons: As I mentioned, customer service sucks big time.
The worst customer service you can imagine! You wait hours on the phone and have very unfriendly customer service people on the phone. If you are a member of the frequent flyer program, don't expect any credit of your miles (especially from partner airlines). I waited 30 min. on the phone today to hear that they cannot credit me my miles (for a domestic US flight) without an explanation letter from Delta about e-boarding passes. Isn't this crazy?
YES, AIR FRANCE DOES SUCK! by annfromtexas ,Jul 14 '08
Pros: Nice Boeing 777 airplane, stewards (some) nice Cons: diabetic food is nasty-cold fish for an 11 year old
I love Paris, but I also hate CDG airport. I had never flown with Air France before, but I appears that a lot of people in Egypt and Greece know not to fly with Air France. We traveled Dec-Jan 07 to Egypt and Greece. We spent 7 days of an expensive vacation without luggage. The worst part was the lies. Air France lies..they give you hope that you will "get your bags tomorrow". Well, $140 for phone calls, and hundreds for clothing, etc...(Did I mention I was traveling with a handicapped child?). Not to mention the money we spent tipping (a way of life in Egypt) just to try to get some help! Whenever we mention that our luggage was lost, the guides would laugh and say "Air France, yes" you don't even have to mention the name of the carrier. In Greece our driver said that they call it Air Chance in Greece.
DO NOT FLY AIR FRANCE unless you carry-on your bags, and I agree with others that you should avoid CDG if at all possible.
Worst flying experience ever with Air France from WAshington DC to Athens, Greece and back by morr ,Sep 08 '09
Pros: I have nothing good to say about my Air France flight. Cons: I will never fly this airline since they made no effort to do anything
In July my husband and I paid extra for the leg room to fly from Washington D.C. to Greece. Before we even took off the flight attendant moved a huge, sick man next to me. He took over half of my seat! He did not pay extra and he coughed and cleared his throat for 8 hours nonstop! On the way back, we sat next to another sick man for whom they called the doctor. This man smelled so badly that we got headaches that lasted into the next day! Not only that, my crate of olive oil never made it back. They said it was leaking. No way. It was inside a wooden crate, lined with cardboard and the metal can was professionally sealed! They refuse to reimburse us for anything!
