Pros: Decent prices Cons: Late or cancelled flights, mechanical problems, and whatever happened to the "Alaska Airlines" meal?
This used to be one of the premier airlines back in the 70's and 80's. the food, the service, the TIMELINESS. What happened? Within the past 7 years I've traveled almost exclusively on Alaska from L.A. to Seattle and back. In that time, I have never...

Pros: decent overall service Cons: watch your bags and flyer miles
Pretty much the only way to get anywhere on the mainland from Kodiak Island is by an Alaska airlines jet, or ERA aviation, one of the airline’s travel partners. Not much of a choice, but at least it’s a decent choice.
Aside from weather delays,...

Pros: Service, service and service!! Cons: Not a thing
Alaska airlines has a reletively newly established direct routing from Chicago OHare to Anchorage which we were lucky enough to be booked into for our Alaskan tour last week. Apparently this is their first "long" flight route and not firmly...

Pros: Great food, ONTIME all the time, Cons: Small seats, but who doesn't have them?
For business, family or just for fun, flying Alaska Airlines has always been an excellent experience. I have yet to fly Alaska and have a flight delayed for any extended period of time, lose ANY luggage or have it damaged and have never, ever had a...

Pros: Excellent staff, Good beer & wine free on flights Cons: Seat comfort on most planes are mediocre, snacks are disappointing
I'll take an Alaska or Horizon Airlines flight over any other airline. So it's a pleasant surprise when the ticket costs are usually closer to the cut-rate airlines.
Alaska and Horizon offer several nice features that really make my...

Pros: on time, now goes direct Fresno to Seattle Cons: The Food (or lack thereof)
Okay, I'm very grateful that this airline has now instituted direct flights from Fresno to Seattle. Fresno is incredibly underserved by airlines. There are about 400,000 people here and a very nice airport, so I've never understood why big airplanes...

Pros: Are there any? Cons: Never plan anything around their schedule
As an Alaska resident, and having little choice, I have flown this airline frequently within and outside the state. I regularly experience delays of six or more hours, and none due to weather. My past three vacations have been delayed by AK air due to...

Pros: Friendly reservations and ticket agents, newer planes Cons: Flight attendants who are baggage grinches.
Overall, Alaska Airlines is friendly and efficient with fairly new aircraft. When you call their 800 number to make reservations, you can actually hear the smiles on their faces. They seem to always want to give you the lowest rate. Compare that to...

Pros: Service to small locations, great computer service Cons: Can be cramped, must walk off plane on tarmac
Having moved from Oregon to Montana, I had to find some way of avoiding the drive to Spokane or Boise to catch my favorite airline (SWA) and still not pay a fortune! That is easier said than done! Billings is not cheap to get out of and fortunately...

Pros: flight dates Cons: service and comfort
Less than two years ago I purchased a condo in La Paz, Mexico. As a result I have traveled to La Paz Mexico quite often over the past two years. My first two experiences flying into La Paz were flights I would not wish on even my most hated adversaries....

Pros: Cheap upgrades to first class! Cons: A bit pricey
I flew Alaska Air for the first time in a very long time in the past week and it was a very positive experience. I'm used to flying on United and I absolutely HATE them. Most of my anger regarding United has to do with the amount of space they allocate...

Pros: On Time, Friendly staff, Mileage Plan, Kiosk Check-in Cons: None! :>)
I live in Portland and travel often up to Seattle for business, so have flown Horizon Airlines (a sister airline of Alaska Airlines) at least once a week for the past 3 years. You'd think that by now I'd be sick of Horizon, and have experienced numerous...

Pros: Flights on Time Cons: Limited Flight Area
I have flown Alaska Airlines many times and each time the flights were on time. Compared to my experience with United Airlines, Alaska Airlines is superior in punctuality. There weren't long check in lines or a long wait once onboard waiting to...

Pros: Good planes, good folks Cons: Nothing serious
I really don't have a lot of new info to add, but I love Alaska so much I feel compelled to add them to my "Love It" list, which requires a review. So, without further ado...
My last job required frequent trips to Portland and...

Pros: Nice airlines Cons: Bad at their backup plans
My son was invited to go stay with our old neighbors which just moved at the end of Spring break from Washington to Arizona. They bought his plane ticket over the internet.
Well, the day came when he was going to leave. It was July 17th....
