Pros: We got to where we were going Cons: HUGE delays, no explanation
Everyone has their own horror story to tell about an airline, and mine is about American Airlines, and is as follows:
My Youth Group and I were flying out to a conference in Washington D.C., and we were stopping in Chicago on the way there....

Pros: Leg room. Cons: Overall service seems to get worse.
Yesterday (12/19/02) I flew coach from New York LaGuardia to Toronto Pearson Airport with American Airlines flight 1447. 39 minutes before departure our plane landed carrying people from another flight. The arriving passengers were quickly dispatched....

Pros: Very roomy, food is pretty good when you get it. Cons: Rates are bad on days when business people travel (Sundays and Fridays)
I fly several times a year for business and one of the airlines I fly on frequently is American Airlines. One of the main reasons I fly American is because they have more room than any of the other airlines. I am 6'2" and most of the other airlines...

Pros: On time most of the time. Reasonably good connections. Cons: I just do not see why anyone would pay for their version of first class...
Since I had a bunch of Finnair points expiring in early 2002 which I could not use for anything anyway (why do European airlines insist in expiring points/miles? This practice was abandoned in this country 5 years ago!) I decided to cash them in for a...

Pros: Extra leg room no joke, comfy seats, FAST baggage delivery. Cons: No in-flight entertainment, one plane seemed a little unsafe.
Generally, when an airline claims to give more leg room to coach passengers, what they mean is: We removed one seat from this plane. Please enjoy your additional millimeter of leg room.
This was not the case with American. After have flown...

Pros: none Cons: taht they even exist
Ok, meet my new, revised (but still eerily similar) epinion on American Airlines:
When I first wrote an opinion on this airline I was struggling to finalize my travel plans two days before I was to take off. The airline people had effectively...

Pros: The flight arrived on time and the pilot was friendly Cons: Rude. Seats uncomfortable. Searched Americans, but not foreigners.
Since I was planning a vacation for fourth of July, I thought it was great that American's could still fly across the United States and feel safe again. I was wrong and I'll tell you about that in the next paragraphs. I felt good about helping American...

Pros: None Cons: Do you have a few hours?
Last summer, I made the mistake of allowing my corporate travel agency to book my trip to San Francisco from Boston. Normally, I make the arrangements myself and usually get the best deals, but at this time I was just too busy. Reluctantly, I agreed to...

Pros: Great first class service Cons: You can't get this everyday.
Last September I realized that I had 27,000 miles in my TWA account and 3,000 in my AA ff account so I decided to use it wisely and upgrade my roundtrip ticket to Chicago.
October 30th
Before the flight I was excited to learn that I had...

Pros: Good equipment (777s and 767s), Excellent Staff that Sticks with You in a Crisis Cons: none
It's the people who make American the best airline in the world. I fly every single week and often fly international routes. Up until a year ago, I was executive gold on United Airlines. After being bumped off late flights about 10 times too often, I...

Pros: Great seats, low fairs, and great service Cons: nothing bad about this airline
This Airline is the only airline I trust to go on. They treat you like a friend not a customer. Their Airline staff is willing to comply with anything you need. One time when my sister got sick in the air, they didn't hesitate to give her a pillow and...

Pros: Loads of flights to almost everywhere in the Americas Cons: Crazy Busy Hubs, Older jets, Bad Service Attitude
American Airlines is just too large for its own good. I have flown several flights on this airline and have come to the conclusion that bigger is not better, especially in regards to airlines.
PROS:
Schedule
- AA has frequent daily...

Pros: They didn't lose my luggage Cons: Lack of courtesy, delays
If I can't find a cheap ticket, I use Priceline.com. It was Christmas season, and my boyfriend wanted to come with me to Phoenix to visit my mom, so that's where I got our tickets. American Airlines accepted my offer. I thought "great! a reputable...

Pros: Nice, helpful, polite, fun Cons: conjested terminals
The first time I flew on AA was when i was eight years old, this was my first airline flite. I remember being asked several times if I wanted some more peanuts, these peanuts were great. I was once asked to go to the cockpit with the pilot. As an eight...
