Frontier - Good and Cheap

Pros: Inexpensive. Professionally run.
Cons: Bad website. Some wait-time when calling.
I flew from San Francisco to Denver on Frontier in July of 2004. The flight was on-time in both directions. Check-in was less than five minutes both ways. The crew was friendly and professional. My luggage showed up.

The snack (a granola bar) was not worth the time and energy it took for them to walk up the aisle. But my only real complaint is their website, which doesn't work. I accessed it on three different occasions but was never able to accomplish anything. I could not book my flight (ended up calling), nor could I check-in, as they claim you can. Every time, the site experienced "technical difficulties." And when you call Frontier, you have to hold 10-15 minutes to get an operator.

So, if you're willing to put in a little time on the phone, Frontier is a great deal.

Price and Service in one Place

Pros: Real Food, Direct TV
Cons: Turbulence can interrupt programming.
I had a very positive experience with Frontier Airlines in Early October. The fact that they have real food is a huge selling point. The Direct TV is a bonus. Direct TV certainly makes a 3+ hour flight go by quickly.

wonderful crew

Pros: New aircraft; cheerful flight attendants; on-time!
Cons: Row 22 seats don't recline.
Flew to IND from DEN over the Christmas holiday. Both trips very pleasant. I don't use the pay-TV they sell because I don't like the content. And I have reading to do ... always. I DO like to keep track of the progress of the flight, the air speed and altitude which is a non-pay, default option for viewing. My only complaint about the return flight to Denver was that I was seated in the back row (22) on the 28th December, which seats do not recline... at all. I think this is a bit irritating when paying the same fare as others. And 2.5 hours in those tiny seats gets to be uncomfortable. I was unable to pick my seat when I purchased the ticket, which I do not understand.

The aircraft are relatively new A319's and I found the cabin crews on the outbound and return trips to be delightful and refreshingly sunny and cheerful.

The airline has ironed out the computer system problems that they had in May when they had just done a changeover. The e-check in was seamless even in the confusion of the jammed holiday season.

Abusive, Rude, Incompetent

Pros: cheap prices for abusive non-service
Cons: hung up on; transferred to unmanned number; abused with glee
I'd like to apologize to whomever gets seated next to my 3 year old or 5 year old, they'll be crying. Of course they'd be fine if Frontier would bother to seat them next to my wife and I, as per our request. Frontier, however, chooses not to; but not because they are constricted by technology (they did agree to put us together once before) just because they are lazy, inconsiderate, and wouldn't even be bothered to let me speak to a supervisor. I called customer care and was spoken to rudely ("why are you calling here?!"... a brilliant challenge from the guy who answers the phone "customer care, this is kevin") I loved being put on hold for 20 minutes then told "sorry, you can't speak to a supervisor" and hung up on... customer care just transferred me back to the reservation pool that hung up on me to begin with. Fine, Frontier, choose not to be helpful; stress my wife and me about our seating on a flight with our kids... I won't bother you with another ridiculous request again... ever.

Baggage got damaged and no action from Frontier

Pros: They have direct tv
Cons: Incompetent workers. Thiefs.
My stroller got damaged during a Frontier flight and I filed a claim. I was told I would have it replaced within 24 hours. Noone ever called back or tried to replace my stroller. I've called numerous times to try to resolve it but no luck.
250 bucks lost. I say you get what you paid for or less...
I'm never flying Frontier again, not would I recommend them..

Safety of passengers violations!

Cons: Callous attitude about passengers safety from the spread of infectious disease. Will never fly again!
I was told by a Customer Service Supervisor (Teri, TW, Denver, CO) it's my choice if my family and I choose to fly after being exposed to what is currently an unknown infectious disease. Her callous attitude and disregard for the safety of Frontier Airlines passengers is deplorable! I asked to speak to her supervisor but was disconnected.
I'm in the process of writing a complaint to the Center for Disease Control and the Better Business Bureau. I will never fly with this airline again.
I work for the Dept of Defense and will are too it that they are fully aware of this so they will not trust the lives of our countries Uniformed Services.

family emergency

Cons: rude, smug, and condescending customer service
I bought a last minute ticket this week to attend a funeral for a dear family friend.  The night before the trip I ended up in the ER with my 6 day old daughter who had a fever.  It was incredibly scary for about 76 hours, and the last thing on my mind was canceling my ticket.  5 days later she is still in the hospital but stable so I had a minute to call about my missed reservation.  Terry, a supervisor, told me too bad.  Because I bought the so-called "economy ticket" which is anything but on a last minute flight, there was nothing I could do about it because that was the way their computer system worked.  she was so smug and condescending she had the nerve to tell me that I had read the terms and conditions and I should have been aware of their policy.  When I told her it was that kind of customer service that made the airline industry what it was, she told me Frontier had the best customer service in the industry.  I am stunned.

Just another product working hard to end American dignity

Pros: None. Often pricey and inadequate when compared to any competitors.
Cons: Service, Attitiude, Seats, Direct-TV Screen Size and No First Class.
I fly very often and for many different reasons. Sure, I have my frequent flyer miles in an account somewhere and I know exactly what I like and dislike when I fly. On occasion I like to divert from my habits try something new and my latest project has been Frontier. I have been flying them with some regularity since the start of 2009 and I feel that I have given them a fair chance and now I'm ready to let others know what I think.

Frontier is like a terminally ill animal, unaware and slightly miffed but certainly full of hope, visceral motivation and drive. I don't know if Frontier knows why or what they are and more so what they are working toward.

Frontier is not worth the buck you pay. Service is crap, flight attendants rude and angry. Fly an airline with a worth while mileage program, including those from Denver, fly United or Southwest.

Cancelled flight, refused refund

Pros: Good flight when they actually fly
Cons: Horrible company to deal with. Their cancelled flights are your problem.
I booked a flight from San Diego to Cortez CO. The flight back from Cortez was cancelled, as was the next, and the next. The only flight offered was 3 days later. I paid Frontier and they contracted with Great Lakes Airlines. Both refused to reimburse. I had to pay for a rental car to drive to a different airport at my own expense.
