A little over priced
by hexenax ,Apr 05 '06
Pros: Comfortable seats, nice staff. Cons: Over priced, lot of delays.
I love Midwest Airlines for the most part. However, my gripe with them these days is they have severely dropped a lot of the services they used to provide (as did most airlines) but yet they are still VERY expensive to fly. They dont even do just direct flights anymore. Now they do connections in Kansas and still charge the same outrageous fares. I actually went to look for flights from Milwaukee to DC and they wanted $809!!!! Are you kidding me??

Great airline!
by lizaruth ,May 29 '08
Pros: service, rates, comofort Cons: limited schedule
I live in the Los Angeles area and had never heard of Midwest until last summer. Then my best friends moved to the Milwaukee area from Southern California. Since then I have flown to and from Milwaukee 3 times and am planning my 4th trip right now. Midwest is the best airline I've flown, with great service and great rates. The limited schedule doesn't bother me since there are daily non-stop flights between LA and Milwaukee. As far as visiting my friends in Wisconsin goes, I would never fly any other airline.

Worst Airline Ever
by lars7576 ,Dec 10 '07
Pros: Free cookie Cons: Poor service, always delayed, poor service
I still have not had one good experience with this airline and my repeated emails to fix the situation have never been answered. If you like to plan on being delayed, your luggage lost, your plan be way overbooked, pay for everything except a cookie, be left in the middle of nowhere if your flight is canceled and you flew on a voucher. (Since my flight was free they told me they had no responsibility to get me home once my flight was canceled. Finally, my Army unit has had its orders to go to the middle east changed, we had to schedule flights home, every airline but Midwest offered refunds. Thanks for nothing

Splendid... Absoletly Splendid
by happyflyer9291 ,Jan 15 '07
Pros: Wonderful Costumer Service for Stock Holders
Wonderful Treatment Cons: nothing
I recently flew on Midwest and had a wonderful trip.
We started out in the wee hours of the morning, and drove to the airport at Dallas Fort- Worth. We were greeted with complementry Starbucks coffee and warm Krispy Kreme donuts. The employee at the front desk had brought them. Bless her. We walked through security with no major issues, just the usual pat downs. We then got to the gate where we were able to watch the early show. We boarded the plane and had a on time departure. We landed in Milkwalkee, and were escorted to our gate for our deperature to Minneapolis St. Paul. While we waited in the lounge, they gave us great service and had breakfeast for us and the grandkids. We then boarded our plane, to find the same stewardeses with smiling faces and reckonized us and called us by our name. When we boarded the plane, they even had cookies, wings, and coloring books available in the grandkids seats. We then had a wonderful trip. We were so happy to see our investment had paid off that much.

Midwest Express is the best
by pdeyoung ,Sep 22 '05
Pros: Big seats, great staff, and good meals ( Cons: more domestic and international flights!
The first time I flew Midwest I was very impressed, nice big seats, reasonably priced fares, and friendly staff. But it was not until the death of a family member that I realized how great the airline was. Most airlines offer a bereavement discount but they expect you to do all the hard work. I called the airline, told them about the death and my grandfathers name and they took care of the rest(no paperwork involved-not even a death certificate). They put me on a flight right away gave me a great discount. The flight ended up being delayed due to weather and I was quite upset about missing my connecting flight as the next flight was not until the next day. The airline actually held my connecting flight so I could make the funeral.
The best

I heart Midwest Express
by sagmz ,Dec 05 '03
Pros: Cookies, free wine with meal, good food, good people, comfortable seating. Cons: Limited flights, higher ticket price.
I would only fly this airline if I could. It's snazzy, friendly, cookies on the lunch flight, good service, good flights.
I haven't ever had a bad experience. They even came through on a flight from Boston to Milwaukee when United overbooked.

Very Comfortable
by trammsrvt ,Aug 18 '05
Pros: Very comfortable, nice service, great cookies Cons: limited routs and FF program that locks you into Midwest only.
A very comfortable airline to fly but the FF miles nearly useless. They may be associated with American but you can't have your miles credited there. Great cookies

Best flight ever
by benfoldsgroupi ,Jul 05 '06
Pros: warm chocolate chip cookies, no first class, great attendants Cons: silly Wisconsin accents
I flew with these guys for the first time to Milwaukee at the end of May. I have never seen an airline so organized, and the cookies are to die for. This flight was probably the closest to on-time departing as I've ever had a flight be - they informed the entire waiting party on the problems experienced and gave reasons as to why we had to wait a little longer to board the plane. I also had an antique mirror that I had to bring home with me and they allowed me to stow it in the coat closet instead of putting it in cargo and letting who knows what happen to it. I look forward to using this airline again in the future, especially if they continue to have those delicious cookies!

Incredible Price!
by twinsmomintn ,Apr 27 '06
Pros: Price was amazingly low. Cons: I had to book the flights separately for the low price.
I just booked a flight for my parents from Nashville to Minneapolis and was shocked to find a round trip flight for $102 with Midwest. I've never flown with them & my parents haven't either, but they could never drive for $102 with gas prices so high!! The only catch was I had to book the flights separately for some reason. When on the Midwest website, if I selected 2 passengers, the price was $248 per person. When I changed it to 1 passenger, it dropped to $102. I don't know why the price varied like that, but I didn't mind booking them separately to save them that much money. I hope they find the flight to be as pleasurable as so many other reviews claim.

Midwest is awesome!
by pixelstarfx ,Aug 11 '06
Pros: Large comfortable seating, helpful staff, chocolate chip cookies Cons: No In-flight movie, Limited Route Network
Last week I had the chance to fly from Kansas City (MCI) to Los Angeles (LAX) and my experience was wonderful! The only other airline I have flown was Continental and Midwest was much better. The seating was so nice...big Leather seats with plenty of room. Oh and the cookies were so yummy and warm!
The flight attendants seemed to pay extra attention to those who had small children and some patrons who were disabled.
The only thing I did not like was that there was not an in-flight movie but you could rent" a small portable player for $10. It has movies, music, videos, cartoons, etc that you can pick from.
I will definitely be flying Midwest in the future!

Will gladly fly again with Midwest
by freq_traveler ,Jan 22 '05
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable seating and cookies Cons: Does not fly many routes or have many flights to choose from.
I flew with Midwest for the first time and the experience was so refreshingly different. The staff is friendly and helpful. And of course, the seating is so comfortable.

Don't buy tickets, you'll probably get cancelled
by disneymom1973 ,Jul 27 '08
Pros: cheap airfare Cons: flights cancelled and the airline is in jeopardy of bankruptcy
Buyer beware...we purchased tickets in May 2008 for travel in October 2008, Midwest Airlines cancelled the flights in mid-July and is not working with customers at ALL! The only option is a full refund or another ticket that would have additional costs. The agents told me that the refund would take 72 hours. After waiting that 72 hours, I called and was told that I was misinformed and it will now be 10-14 business days. Now, the plane tickets that cost $890 will now what $300-400 more. They're not working with any other carrier to accommodate customers. Also, the reps on the phone said we were lucky they didn't claim bankruptcy because who knows if and when we would get our money back. Do not fly this airline! They have no accountability or reliability any longer.

Nice Trip
by davidnnoah ,Jan 02 '09
Pros: Personal attention. Comfortable cabins with nice seats. Great cookie! Cons: They have yet to achieve global domination.
Way to go, MidWest! Even with a cancelled connecting flight, Midwest employees went out of their way to make our trip pleasant and efficient. I flew 2 dozen times in '08 on half a dozen airlines and no one else came close to the service I received from MidWest. I only wish they flew to more places.
