Pros: everything Cons: booking next cruise aboard IS NOT necessarily cheaper as they advertise
I just traveled with an 81-yr old mother in a wheelchair and a 10 yr-old son. We ALL had a great time. My son went to the oceaneer's lab as he pleased while mom and I enjoyed movies at their movie theater or just chilled out by the pools.
Even with a wheelchair in tow we never felt unable to do anything or go anywhere.
There are sufficient elevators all over and ramps where necessary.
Our room, category 11, was larger than any hotel room we've stayed at. Even the bathroom accommodated the wheelchair without problems.
We just traveled 3 nights, will soon book a 4-nighter.
Pros: kid's activities were great Cons: Food service was lacking the disney crispness, no pixie dust here
I was totally disappointed in the lack of disneyesque service. Cruise and activities were great but the dining services were inconsistant at best. Palo's was terific and right up to par dinner service overall was acceptable but not by disney standards. Breakfast in parrot cay was infuriating we got the typical low end cruise couldn't care less attitude. Servers openly commented about passengers, I asked for a spoon got the "not my job" blank stare. I could have saved a couple of thousand dollars for the down right crappy service that was prevalent throughout. On the last day I watched a white coated maitre'd pull a family from line at Tritons because they missed their 7 am seating, they were second in a line of about thirty people waiting for the eight o'clock seating and they were made to leave and told to have the buffet on the ninth deck if they wanted to eat. they had kid's and luggage but no matter off they were sent. I felt bad for them but then mr white coat nabbed us too. Old walt would be rolling in his grave.
