Pros: wonderful ship, interesting and exciting itinerary Cons: none
Our cruise to Alaska was a bit unusual, at least for us. Instead of boarding ship in Vancouver, like most Alaskan voyages, we began our journey in Los Angeles on what was called a repositioning cruise. That's when a ship leaves one ocean, travels...

Pros: FreeStyle, flexibility, Alaska! Cons: Not a "big" ship, Waiters don't pretend they like you (is this a negative?)
My wife and I honeymooned on the Wind’s 8/6/01 Alaska (Glacier Bay) cruise. We had read every review of the Wind that we could find of the web. Though the reviews initially concerned us, we ultimately decided that the things that most of the reviews...

In July 2001 my mom, sister and I took the Norwegian Wind cruise to Alaska's Inside Passage. After 2 nights in Vancouver we boarded our ship to paradise. As a 20-something, first time cruiser, I wasn't sure what to expect. Sure the room was a bit...

Norwegian Wind 10-day Hawaii & Fanning Island by sugma ,Nov 16 '05
Pros: Price. Service. Shore excursions. Cons: No complaints
Loved it. Great value. Outstanding service.
The days at sea are busy with activities. Fanning Island (Tabuaeran in the Republic of Kiribati) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the equatorial Pacific as it was two hundred years ago. Be sure to walk "off the beaten path." EXPERIENCED snorkelers with their own equipment can go on their own to the ocean side, to snorkel virgin reefs.
NCL shore excursions cost no more than if you made your own arrangements; they are excellent, and the ship waits for you. High prices of shore excursions are due to the high cost of living in Hawaii, the NCL markup.
Pros: -- everything about the cruise was just fine . . . Cons: no cons . . .and no complaints . . .
We cruised twice a year in the late 70s and early 80s -- then went to renting villas in St. John, USVI -- but over development and destruction of coral reefs has killed the St.John experience for us.
We loved the Norwegian Wind on our Nov. 30 - Dec. 6, 2003 western Caribbean cruise . . good food - good service - comfortable stateroom - well organized shore excursions . . we particularly enjoyed the catamaran snorkeling, beach and margarita trip in Cozumel . . . loved the wildlife in Belize - it has to be protected . . . we look forward to our next Norwegian Wind cruise in the Spring of 2004 . . . and perhaps an NCL cruise to Alaska in Sept. 2004 . . .
