10-night Hawaiian Vacation

by njronbo , May 09 '04
Pros: best bang for the buck, friendly staff
Cons: Poor organization boarding and disembarking. Long buffet lines food quality varies fair to good.
Introduction There's no argument that a Hawaiian vacation has the potential of being the most extravegant experience of a lifetime. I never dreamed that I would be taking such an incredible journey -- and frankly, all of it happened all so suddenly. ...

Legend Millennium Part 2

by ealleva800 , Feb 19 '00
Pros: Moderate Cruise Product
Cons: Marginal Services
Food Score D-

People don’t get it. I have noticed several cruise reviewers commenting on how the food tastes. Some say that the food on RCL was fantastic, others say it was horrible. Taste is a very personal thing and difficult to report....

Legend be it: royal caribbean

by Vizsla , Nov 18 '99
Pros: Plenty to do, nice staff
Cons: rushed port of calls, watch your baggage & extra costs
This was my first cruise that I have taken. Normally I'd choose to take things on my own, but this time I wanted to relax and see many countries without much hassle.

What I found was Royal Caribbean which promised me just that. The ship,...

Legend Cruise....not!

by casal633106 , Dec 18 '99
Pros: Nice Itinerary
Cons: Not as good as they used to be
September 1999 we sailed on the Legend of the Seas 14 night Mediterranean
cruise with great ports of call, and fairly nice room with a balcony. Since my husband and I are repeat cruisers on RCCL, I guess I can be fair and honest about this one...

Mediterranean Cruise

by peteratsea , Oct 23 '08
Pros: Good Itinerary. Check in was hassle free. Stateroom was comfortable and kept clean.
Cons: Entertainment very poor. Drinks very expensive. Staff provided poor service. Breakfast service disgraceful.
This was the first time that we have cruised with Royal Caribbean and we chose the Legend of the Seas being a smaller ship because we thought it would be more intimate and friendlier than the larger ships in the fleet. Both my partner and I are ...

Saved by the Ports

by dudleys , Jul 12 '01
Pros: Great ports in Europe
Cons: It's a constant battle to keep them out of your wallet
Went on Legend of the Seas around the Med. 12 day cruise took in Barcelona, Cannes, Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Naples, Venice, Dubrovnik, Sicily, Rome and Marseilles. The ports could not have been better. However, RC should be ashamed of the way they...

Awful experience! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

by jkhatfsu , Jun 04 '08
Pros: The itinerary, waiters, and nice Mediterranean weather
Cons: Rude staff, Poor rooms, Poor communication, Bad Excursions, Poor value for money, Bland food, Crowded.
My wife and I wanted to see the Mediterranean area as a nice second anniversary trip. In the past, we have travelled on land tours and have enjoyed seeing many countries in Europe, Asia, and South America. This time, however, we felt that a cruise ...

Why Shirley Jones and Hugh Hefner never did the "Wild-Thing."

by cowboydj , Dec 24 '99
Pros: No one died
Cons: Someone ought to
(IMPORTANT NOTE: The cruise ship referred to in this Epinion is not this one, but the "Song of America," one of RCCL's oldest ships. It is not listed, and I placed my review here because this ship is the most similar to the one I was on. Most...

Never Again<>

by cturner , Dec 09 '99
Pros: Nice State Room
Cons: No Ambience
My wife Val and me Charles have cruised more than 25 times over the last 20 years. In 1998/99 we decided to cruise the Hawaiian islands aboard the RCCL (Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines) "Legend of the Seas". This cruise was to have been a...

Royal Caribbean . . . Never Again!!!

by kckbxer , Feb 06 '02
Pros: Friendly service in dining rooms and stateroom, decent food
Cons: Shoddy business practices, customer dis-service, lack of activities, broken promises, lies and misrepresentations
We booked RCCL's November 3-10, 2001 Legend of the Seas eastern Mediterranean cruise, sailing from Barcelona to Florence/Pisa, Rome, Santorini, Ephesus and Athens, primarily because of the exotic eastern Mediterranean locations. We, however, fully...

I really liked this ship
by cactusqueen ,Apr 28 '07
Pros: Nice balcony cabins, excellent indoor pool, nice staff
Cons: Food was good but I've had somewhat better on other cruise lines
Just got back from a 7 night caribbean cruise and had a very nice time on this ship. Yes, it is a smaller, older ship but it has very nice, small but comfortable cabins and attractive and well kept public areas. Even though because of its size and age didn't offer things like skating rinks and water parks, we had all the services/activities we wanted. I would definitely not classify it as a party ship so if you're looking for that, choose another vessel. But if you are looking for a classy, more intimate ship, Legend is the way to go!

5 NIGHTS SPICEOF SOUTHEAST ASIA CRUISE
by shinning92 ,Dec 27 '08
Pros: -Good Services
-clean
-many facilities and classes
-check-in and boarding the ship was easy
Cons: -entertainment was not that fantastic
-food was average
I travelled with my family of 16 on this cruise and i had an enjoyable time on the ship. There are many facilities available on this cruise such as a rockwall, jacuzzi, swimmming pool, gym, mini golf course and many others, all at good condition. If you are feeling bored, there are also classes available during the day, like line-dancing and cha-cha classes, which i enjoyed very much. The instructors are all nice and encouraging, even though most of the time we have no ideawhat we are doing, but we still have a great amount of fun.The ship was very clean and room-keeping was done twice a day with a new surprise in store.

Most of the time, we dine at the Romeo and Juliet restaurant and the waiters there are very patient and polite. Considering that the people at my table was very demanding, they managed to reach our expectations.

Customer Service? What's that?
by kjpoconnor ,Jan 09 '06
Pros: I can't remember any since the cons were so bad
Cons: Zero customer service. Not a single person that assumed ownership for any problem.
Our suite (one of the best rooms on the ship, we were paying top dollar) had water dripping from the ceiling causing mold in the carpet. We informed the ship a few times and they told us it was fixed. Not only was it not fixed but our valet told us it was untrue. I kept asking for a fix and they just kept right on lying. I'm allergic to mold so it basically destroyed my sleep.

I was incredibly nice to these guys and was very polite. It became a bit of a joke after a while to me but they seemed completely incapable of solving the problem or telling me the truth. They made no offers of restitution. I mailed them a nice letter explaining the situation and I receive no reply. Our travel agent sent them a letter and never received a reply.

This was a family reunion and we had booked about 8 cabins. If they treated me like dirt, I'd hate to see what they treat the schmo in an inside cabin.
