Pros: Great itinerary. Good food. Nice stateroom.
Cons: Constant emphasis on tipping. Aggressive photographers.
My husband Bill and I just took our very first cruise on Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas. I had been curious about cruising for a long time and we get a little bit of a deal by booking through USAA, our bank and insurance company. Last fall, ...

See the Sea- Repositioning with RCCL's Vision of the Seas- Hawaii

by Minx_In_LA Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Oct 15 '01
Pros: Relaxing trip across Pacific, time to enjoy the ship
Cons: Food needs improvement, and "name" entertainment is third rate.
FOREWORD: This cruise began a mere five days after the horrific terrorist attacks on America. My family took a vote, and we decided to drive and fly to get to the pier in Vancouver on time. My father was going to see Pearl Harbor again for the first time...

Not So Perfect Vision: October 14-18, 2002

by Suzi Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Oct 18 '02
Pros: Lots of windows, marble and brass; very upscale.
Cons: No Lobster on three/four night itinerary. No sports court. Not a good choice for kids.
Overview:

I was aboard the Vision of the Seas on October 14-18, 2002. During the summer, the Vision sails Alaska. However, this year (for two months anyway) she is making three and four night cruises to Ensenada, Mexico before embarking on...

by mikenyadi , Dec 09 '03
Pros: Nice rooms, good mix of passengers, newer ship.
Cons: More maintenance needed in the Windjammer Cafe, and debarkation procedures need improvement.
My wife and I just completed the November 30, 2003 seven day sailing of the Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas Mexican Riviera cruise and share our observations for those considering this ship and itinerary. THE SHIP: The Vision of the Seas is ...

Smooth ride, nice layout, affordable

by tnr415 , May 03 '05
Pros: Relaxing, large ship, minimal movement
Cons: Easy to lose track of expenses.
My wife and I went on the Mexican Riviera cruise on Mar 2005. This was my first cruise, and I was very nervous since I get violently seasick (I cannot go on carnival rides or "violent" rollercoasters and simlulator rides due to my motion sickness). My ...

A relaxing cruise.

by marandamx , Jun 25 '08
Pros: A cruise you can just relax on.
Cons: Not the cruise to go on if you want to busy all of the time.
When my husband and I decided to take a cruise I went online and started looking at our different choices. We have been on different cruise lines and have become a fan of Royal Caribbean. On the Royal Caribbean web site I found many different 7 day ...

Vision of the Seas - Alaska

by khinkle77 , Aug 14 '02
Pros: Entertainment was great, food was wonderful...and Alaska - wow!
Cons: Not enough time at port
We traveled to Alaska for our honeymoon. It was my second cruise and my husband's first cruise. We left Vancouver on June 16th, 2002. We arrived at the terminal around 1:30. It was very well organized. When we arrived, we were given a number and...

Blurred Vision

by gcto , Mar 24 '05
Pros: it's a cruise
Cons: Food, Service, Excursions
We just came back from a cruise down the Mexican Riviera, 2/20/05 to 2/27/05 on Vision of the Seas and it wasn't a great experience overall. We always had great experiences with previous RCL cruises and never had any complaints. Usually, the crew, ...

Mexican Riviera Dec 2002- Jan 2003

by kiki7192 , Jan 15 '03
Pros: Beautifully Decorated Ship, Excellent Cabin Steward Service
Cons: Entertainment left much to be desired, Very few activities for teens
I will start by saying that overall, we had a very nice time on our recent vacation, and any "negative" feedback expressed is due mostly to being disappointed by overexpectaions on our part.

This was my second cruise, and my husbands 1st. I...

A Vision of paradise - and a bargain

by Connecticut , Dec 13 '01
Pros: Exceptionally beautiful ship with top-flight facilities, excellent food
Cons: RCI has trimmed some costs, and you'll notice it
Cruises may be a bit like love -- in many ways the experience gets richer and fuller with the years, but somehow there's nothing quite as magical as the first time.

At least that's my conclusion after getting home from seven...

Not for the seafarer.

by adamsopinion , Mar 12 '01
Pros: Good facilities, great night club, atrium, public rooms are outstanding.
Cons: Long line up's, poor food, impersonal service, decks very crowded on sea days.
Let me start by saying my opinion of a cruise ship may differ from most in the fact that I have never been one to choose a cruise because of the destinations, I choose a cruise primarily because I want to experience the ship. This brings me to my first...
