Pros: Great weather, great beaches, variety of hotel selection, very friendly people! Cons: Moderately priced hotels can be found, but most hotel properties are more expensive-- more than $200 a night.
We have been to Aruba twice. Our first trip to Aruba was in July 1999
for one week at the Manchebo Beach Resort; our second visit to Aruba was
in April 2000 as a port of call on a cruise. We are currently planning
our third trip to Aruba...

Pros: weather, beaches, people Cons: none
I took my 15 year old daughter to Aruba in August for a much needed vacation. We spent 7 nights at the all-inclusive Divi Aruba. For 2 people, all-inclusive, it cost less than a cabin in the mountains and I didn't have to cook.
What a...

Pros: Not very humid, people are VERY friendly-Aruba is "One Happy Island", lots to do! Cons: Aruba Airlines went out of business and so it's more difficult now to get flights.
My father and I went to Aruba during this past January. We spent 6 nights, 7 days there at Manchebo Beach Resort (located very close to the Divi). The resort was located on Palm Beach, which is said to be one of Aruba's most beautiful beaches. Since...

Pros: Beautiful beaches, great food, great people Cons: Windy, very expensive, some shady dealers
I stayed at the Bucuti Beach resort in 2004. The hotel had not opened it's more luxurious addition yet, so the rooms were only adequate. The pool left something to be desired, but the beach area completely made up for it. I've never been to a beach ...

My boyfriend and I flew from Philadelphia direct to Aruba (very convenient!) and spent five days on the island in July. It was just enough time to forget about work and enjoy ourselves, but of course I could have stayed longer. We had a marvelous...

Pros: Sun and cigars! Lots of NY, Penn and Boston folks visiiting. Cons: The food is highly priced as well as alcohol! night
I visited Aruba July?Aug with my 20 yr old son and his two buddies. We stayed at the Mariott suites on the water downtown, and well mixed results. First of all I highly suggest you stay in the hi-rise or mid rise area; more people, safer, and lots ...

Pros: Friendly locals, always great weather, safe, and cheaper than most islands. Cons: NONE
We went to Aruba in October 2002 and loved it! I found a great honeymoon package deal online from an Aruba wholesaler (MCM Tours) and then dealt with two different travel agents to get us the best deal. At first the local agents couldnt come close ...

Pros: Beaches, sun, water, Balashi, English spoken, US$ accepted Cons: depends on where you go & do. becomming very commercial.
Do some research before you go (which I neglected to do) Aruba has some of the most perfect beaches in the world, perfect water and the ideal climate for relaxing at the ocean. There are some great dive sites, and a few things to see, but the beaches ...

Pros: great beaches. the local music talent was amazingly good. Cons: Uncaring, untrained staff, price gouging at every stage, average food, lacks any personality whatsoever.
We just spent 6 days in Aruba at one of the vacation rental homes and the experiecne has been very mixed. We arrived one day late due to our flight crew claiming they needed their beauty sleep as their flight came in at 10 PM the previous night ( this ...

Pros: Beautiful, no need to worry about hurricanes, friendly locals, easy bus system Cons: Over run with tourists, some what pricey, cruise ship destination,
Aruba is a laid back sleepy little island that my husband and I both enjoyed. Plenty of sun and cooling breezes. We stayed at the Royal Sonesta which for the money was not a bad deal. Just keep in mind that the hotel is on a main street and the beach...

Pros: Weather, beaches, hotels, restaurants Cons: very expensive, slow nightlife, boaring.
Aruba. A nice little island in the Caribbean, a few
miles from Venezuela and famous for its white sandy
beaches and blue waters. Indeed, it's a very nice
destination if you are on a honeymoon or if you are
40 years and up. Don't...

Pros: Extremely tranquil place Cons: Food is expensive and it is not a very active place
I visited Aruba in mid-September, a couple weeks after Labor Day mainly because the airfare rates were lower after the Labor Day holiday in the US.
When I arrived I found the climate humid which is typical during the hurricane season (July -...
