Pros: Beautiful beach, everything you need is within walking distance
Cons: Far from some of the island's attractions and Hewanorra Airport

Cons: can be expensive if you do not shop around

Pros: Location, everything to keep a family happy. Also home to Rodney Bay marina
Cons: The other side of the island from the pitons. A sightseeing tour is advisable.

Located in the far North Western part of beautiful St Lucia, in the eastern Caribbean, Rodney Bay is the tourist hub of St Lucia, with plenty to keep you occupied.

Lots of places to eat and a budget for all.
There are two supermarkets and even a cinema not far off.
There is a small shopping centre and also established banking facilities and a post office.

Also this is home to St Lucia's Reduit beach, most probably the best on the island, and lovely for swimming.
Very calm waters. There are a few not to intrusive hotels along the beach.

There is even an olympic sized swimming pool and Rodney Heights Aquatic centre, and a state of the art modern gym and fitness centre at Sportivo in the same vicinity.

Rounds of Golf can be played in nearby Cap Estate, and one can even paticipate in Horse riding at the stables in Cas en Bas, again not far.

Rodney Bay is also home to some fine residential villas, some which can be let out privately.
