Pros: Family fun, especially for children
under ten. Cons: Long queues in peak periods, expensive
food in restaurant.
My husband and I went to Legoland five years ago, with my
sister's family of three children, then 6, 4 and a few
months old. I can recommend this as a great family day out,
but I think you really need to have children in tow to get

Pros: Not Crowded, no long waits, peaceful Cons: expensive, not good for all ages
My dad came to visit this week and asked us to pick one place we all wanted to go to. Unanimously, it was Legoland. Off we went for a day of fun filled adventure?
Arriving at Legoland we had to pay to park. Different fees for different...

Pros: Not crowded, peaceful, family atmosphere Cons: Rides are poorly done, lego theme is not consistent, the store didn't offer much variety
This is no Disneyland. In fact, Legoland does not even begin to compare to the quality of a Disney theme park. The rides are poorly done, the Lego theme is not carried throughout, and there really isn't that much to see to begin with.
My...

Pros: Great for kids under ten. Fascinating sights for the patient, unhurried traveler. Cons: Not recommended for thrill-seekers (too tame.) Billund is a little city off the beaten path. Car rental is tricky (but if you call ahead of time you should be fine.)
I wouldn't recommend a trip to Europe just to see Legoland, but if you are already in the neighborhood, it is definitely worth a visit. The park is a peaceful and interesting place, perfect for kids ten and under or adults that are not in a hurry. ...

Pros: Great park with rides friendly for younger kids and appeals to Lego lovers Cons: No real thrill rides, which may make this park boring for older kids
The Beginning This is where you enter and exit the park. Located here is the stroller/wheelchair rental, two shops, and a place to eat. The place to eat is called the Market. It sells drinks, salads, sandwiches, snacks, and fresh bakery items. One ...

Pros: Good cultural experience especially the one in Denmark. Cons: For Lego aficionados and young children.
We went to both Legolands and we found the one in Denmark to be the better experience from a cultural and crowd standpoint. My kids were 9 and 10 at the time and really enjoyed the car driving experience the best. The kids drove cars around for about 5...

Pros: Great fun for the small kids and the playful parents. Cons: A bit expensive, location is way off
I have been to Legoland in Denmark twice, once as a young child, and the second time was last year (2006), when I went with my husband and my two sons, who at that time were 3 months and 3 years. Legoland in Denmark is a great place to take your ...

Pros: interesting, amazing Cons: hard to get to
Legoland Denmark is the original Legoland. Located in the small town of Billund, where Lego's international headquarters are, this is an amazing park. There are some incredible things that they have built with Legos and a lot of fun rides and...

Pros: Good for children who are normally to little for rides or to afraid Cons: Hard for the adult who wants fun too
We are annual passholders at Disneyland and had been there many times, but we were looking for something different so we decided on Legoland.
My son of three is an avid Lego fan, and at first sight it appears to have a lot to offer a young Lego fan....

Pros: The parking lot was empty. Wheather was perfect, nice and cool. Cons: HORRIBLE, GROSS, COSTLY, RUNDOWN. Dirty park. Cheesie rides and even worse shows.
My kids age 10, 6, 5, love legos. This experience was a total bomb. From the start the stroller we rented to carry our stuff was for a 2 yearold and that was the best one for rent. It was so dirty and falling apart that sould have been our first clue to ...

Pros: Not so expensive to get in, incredible use of Legos Cons: May be boring to some adults, thrill seekers
Legoland, when I was able to visit it finally, quickly became one of my most favorite theme parks in the world. Yes, it is a different type of theme park. It has a couple of rides, for children of course, but that's what the park is primarily for,...

Pros: great park, friendly staff Cons: expensive
I dreamed of going to Legoland when I was a kid. Last February, we had the opportunity to bring my children there. It was truly a dream come true! We were living in England at the time, so the trip was considerably easier than it would have...

Fun-tastic!!
by happybooker1 ,Nov 19 '05
Pros: great for ages 3-9!! Stunning use of Legos. Nice quiet family-type park. Cons: should be open past 6PM ALL during the summer months!
For his first 'real' vacation out of state I gave my son the choice of Legoland or Florida & the beaches. He was 6 at the time, so Legoland won hands down.
He's 8.5 now, & STILL begs to go back. He rode every ride & it was GREAT for him NOT to be told 'oh you don't meet the height requirements', as happened so many times at Astroworld (we live in Houston). Yes you pay to park, but every theme park I've ever been to charges so it's no biggie. I planned our trip in advance & managed to snag discount coupons on Ebay for Legoland & Wild Safari, saving me lots of money.
I thoroughly enjoyed Legoland too, not being much of a thrillseeker in the rides department. But the most awesome thing was to see everything made out of Legos!! The entire town scenes, boat harbor, NY skyline -- it was amazing.
We spent the entire day there & could've used a couple more hours. We felt rushed at the end near closing time. I would HIGHLY recommend a trip if you can manage it!! And search out Ebay for discounts!!
