Pros: Paris can be cheap Cons: None
Does Paris for pennies sound far-fetched and ludicrous? Believe me, after seven trips to the City of Lights, it's quite possible. Of course, you'll need to conjure up the money for the plane ride, but with a little creativity, and an optimistically...

Pros: Ambience, food, music Cons: Early seating
HOTEL COSTES (Pl. Vendome)
The restaurant inside this posh hotel is oozing with coolness-- trés branchée (with-it). People, great music, and atmosphere are right out of an upscale fashion magazine layout. Menu is very flexible, you can order...

Pros: An all right city. Cons: Too American.
My trip to Paris, recounted in five different articles, consisted of a bus trip in from London (7 hours), very little getting lost, a bunch of exploring the Forum des Halles, and several tourisity locations. The French I met varied from utterly rude...

Pros: Eats: Cote Cour, Plomb du Cantal (try special potatoes) (Rue de la Gaite area) Cons: Cost.
I found no rudeness by the French people! The Green Team (green uniformed street and park cleaners, even with green brooms)was visible cleaning the streets--no dirtier than New York City. I loved the food, (sometimes beef can be tough) and easily walke ...

Pros: Tons of things to see and do.
Most people were very nice, Cons: Noticed the "older locals" would not speak English and would ignore me.
Paris is a city unlike any other. There are tons of things to see and do... where every cafe is a t ...

Pros: beautiful city, excellent views Cons: very expensive
Paris is an elegant and beautiful city, capital of france, this city is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Having lived there for more than 2 years, I can say that there is more in the city than one can explore in one vacation trip. The ...

Pros: Museums and architecture Cons: The Parisians, my inability to communicate effectively with the locals
Up front I need to say that my view is skewed by 2 things;
I typically travel alone, and I don't speak any foreign languages fluently. I can ask basic questions but I rarely understand more than a one word reply. People that speak French fluently...

Pros: Beautiful, lots of history, fantastic people Cons: noisy city, dirty
Paris is a fabulous city. It is definitely key that you be able to speak at least some of the language. Although the people are very patient, I have seen some get very frustrated with tourists who don't even try to speak their beautiful language. My...

Pros: lots of history, some great sights, and damn good bread Cons: smell of exhaust, high prices, rude frenchies
Paris.......well for the naive traveler, some call it the city of love. Personally I don't see why. The air that reeks of exhaust, the rude, shove you out of the way attitude and stop and go everything, is somewhat daunting.
Now there are two...

Pros: unique, great food, friendly Cons: none
I went to Paris for 1 night via the Eurostar. It was a relaxing ride to Paris with no one in our carriage and beautiful views of the countryside. When we arrived at the station we had no idea where we were heading since we had only made the decision to...

Pros: Two most famous cabarets in the world are worth visiting as Parisian landmarks Cons: Dancing and organization. Not clear why do women need to be topless to dance
At the end of October we went on vacation to Paris, the eternal city of love, sex and romance. The cult of naked body is widespread: nude models and body parts are displayed on the billboards; couples are kissing on the streets and in restaurants;...

Pros: Secure way to get directly to your destination. Cons: EXPENSIVE, crooked, dangerous, inferior to other methods of transport for these reasons.
There are many easy and effective ways to get around Paris.
Use them.
Do NOT resort to taxis!
We used a taxi this July to get from our hotel directly beside the Charles De Gaulle Airport to the Gard de Nord train station. It's not...

Review Topic: Practical Information
First trip to Paris was on 01/27/2000 thru 02/16/2000. We did not travel with any tour group. We departed the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport on American Airlines to Paris. The flight was nice but...

Pros: It's like walking into a history book, or an art book Cons: So much to see, so little time
This is the city that everyone whose into the arts/literature, or just culture should visit at least once in their life. There are lots of ways to experience Paris, but the best is to balance out the Tourist Sites like the Louvre and Notre Dame with the...
