Away from the tourists, this town feels very old-Italian

Pros: Few tourists
Cons: Closed on Mondays. Little English spoken.
I visited Prato in mid-May 2000 with one thing in mind, to see the start of Stage 9 of the Giro d'Italia bike race. Other than this, I would have had no reason to go there...
