Pros: Beautiful Landscapes, GREAT Food Cons: Bad Road Conditions, High Car theft rate
Last summer I visited the country of Poland. I originally was born there, but I moved to the US when I was five. When I first arrived there I noticed that America had a great influence on Poland. The first meal off the plane were chicken McNuggets...

Pros: inexpensive, exciting, beautiful Cons: slow and not relaxing
Several more points on driving in Poland, having just returned from a three week drive around the country.
1. I rented at the Frankfurt airport. Be sure to tell them the car is going to Poland since certain cars are not allowed into the...

Pros: Very safe airport for single women traveling alone. Cons: The coffee was horrible and expensive at the airport's only "vendor/restaurant" and very expensive. Actually the coffee all over Poland is quite awful...and expensive.
I flew out of Krakow International Airport on December 10, 1999. It is a small, cosy, and very safe airport. The restrooms were clean and well supplied. The building was clean and warm. Many of the employees spoke some English.
I felt...

Pros: Unspoiled Beaches, great prices, European Resort-Style Vacation Cons: Few traditional, well-appointed hotels if you're picky
Hel is real. Hel is beautiful. Hel is a coastal beach resort, and it's a great place for a vacation!
The Hel Peninsula is most easily accessible by ferry boat from either the southern tip of Sweden, or more commonly, the harbor in Gdansk....

Pros: Great value for the buck Cons: Needs more destinations on their service list
I've been using LOT for my travel to Poland many times, and would highly recommend it. Passanger space in economy has good leg/shoulder room, so person does not feel like a sardine. Took British Air once and hated it.
Service is great, food really...

Pros: Krakow - Beautiful architecture and women
Zakopane - unearthly natural beauty Cons: None
Krakow is my favorite city of my last European trip. First off, I have to say that Polish women are the most beautiful I have ever seen all over Europe. They grow on trees everywhere. Second of all, I love the fact that there aren’t many tourists...

Pros: cheap, interesting, filled with history Cons: very cold in the winter time
Being that I have family who still live in Poland, I make it a habit of going back about every 2 years or so. But, I still remain a tourist each and every time I go and learn more about this wonderful place to visit. The best advice that I can offer...

Pros: beauty, cost, friendly people Cons: poor tourist infrastructure
I am half Polish and half-American, my mother's family still lives "in the old country" and I went there numerous times. Even in the gloomiest times of Socialism I enjoyed my trips there and looked forward to travelling through this beautiful...

Pros: Best flight attendants anywhere Cons: Still a post communism airline in terms of bureaucracy (don't try to change tickets)
They partner with American Airlines but it's strictly codeshare. LOT does all the flying into Poland. You can connect thru to any reachable city in Poland for free (Warsaw, Gdansk, Poznan, Cracow, Wroclaw) but this is by intraPoland flights of LOT which...
