Pros: Extremely friendly people, rich culture, exquisite cuisine, inexpensive & very few tourists. Cons: No alcohol, Women under wraps

Pros: historic sites, scenery, very inexpensive, few other tourists Cons: minor hassles are unavoidable: transportation, hotels, money, etc.

Pros: Beauty Cons: You must be sensitive to the present Iranian political culture.
