Pros: Beautiful, "unspoiled"
Cons: Difficult to get around with a ship, expensive
Greenland is a magnificent place, from the glacier extending down into the fjords to the windblown tundra. I hadn't thought about going to Greenland but a friend of mine got a job on an "expedition cruise" ship and so I got a discounted fare....

Pros: Fresh air, nice people, beautiful nature
Cons: High price level
In 1982 I went to Greenland. I was going to work for the Royal Greenland Trade Company, now "KNI" and they sent me to Qaanaaq/Thule. The journey there was quite an experience in itself. First from Copenhagen to Sondrestrom (now Kangerlussuaq)...

Pros: Unique, stunning beauty, desolate, surreal
Cons: Expensive, not much infrastructure, most products to buy not importable to the US.
