Bank on a great time at SouthBank

by belynch , Nov 25 '03
Pros: Well maintained. Gorgeous design. Family Friendly.
Cons: I'm not there right now.
If there was ever something listed on epinions that deserved more than 5 stars, Southbank parklands would have to be it. The following review is geared towards non-residents who may be traveling to Brisbane and are looking for things to do. ...

Southbank...a place for the whole family

by Missa , Feb 25 '00
Pros: Great for family
Cons: Not all is free...but still great entertainment value
Many people know Brisbane from when Expo '88 was here, but hat isn't all there is to this great city. The Expo site itself has been changed into a place that everyone knows as Southbank. Southbank is a great place for the family, focusing on the ideas of...

Get away from the rush of life

by suzilyon , Jun 05 '01
Pros: Great for families and people who want a break from life's stresses
Cons: Can get a little crowded on the weekends

by mamaash , Apr 03 '04
Pros: Good family fun place, with variety and easy access
Cons: some flies around BBQ pits, and a bit crowded at times
I was in Brisbane with my husband and daughter at the end of their summer last Feb (2004), and we visited Southbank for the second time. The first time was in June of 2003 (winter). Both times the place was great, and for slightly different reasons. ...

An oasis in Brisbane

by austar1 , Jul 26 '01
Pros: Nice Atmosphere
Cons: Gondwana Land and boat network is gone.
South Bank Parklands is truly a hidden oasis in Australia's third largest city. Set next to the Brisbane River SBP has everything you need to have a relaxing few hours.

There is a large lagoon pool with an imported sand beach which features a...

Oasis In The Drab Brisbane Desert!!!

by teulan , Jun 20 '01
Pros: * Great for families and students.
Cons: * None. This place is great.
Built on the old Expo 88 site, South Bank Parklands is the perfect place for families with children as well as students on a low budget as a relaxed oasis in the middle of the hurly-burly of Brisbane's desert heart.

It features a manmade beach...
