Based on Lord Balfour's glowing reviews, my wife and I honeymooned there in August 2004. To say it was incredible is an understatement. Went to Bloody Mary's Restaurant and did the Shark Feeding. Weather was great, service was great, location is pretty much unbeatable. The over-the-water units are perfect, the "deluxe" ones anyway, as they are each a bit more removed from your neighbor.

Pros: Serene, beautiful, fabulous lagoon - absolutely romantic!
Cons: Expensive, but you won't be disappointed!

We stayed at the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort in January, 2005, for one part of our honeymoon; and we were not disappointed. Our overwater bungalow was absolutely fabulous! Our stay there was exactly what we expected. If you're looking for a place to "chill out"; this is the place to be. We did what we wanted, when we wanted. All the people were very nice and the food was very good. Our room service was excellent. This part of the world is something everyone should experience. It's a piece of paradise and nothing less.
