Pros: tropical paradise ~ Cons: WAY too humid for me in March
When the opportunity to visit Vanuatu arose I jumped at it. I was aware that it was the rainy season and it would be hot and humid ( I don't do hot and humid very well) but the timing couldn't be helped as my husband was attending a seminar. Nothing I ...

Pros: Great Diving, friendly people, good food, not crowded, picturesque, inexpensive activities Cons: Tana has a great volcano, but terrible accomodations at best!
We loved Vanuatu. We spent most of our trip in Port Vila during a rainy week (avoid Monsoon season if possible) but still had a GREAT time.
Best dive around Port Vila that *we* did was Cathedral. Long, tall chimney that places you back near...

Pros: Beautiful jungles through most of the islands.
People warm and friendly. Cons: Some islands quite primitive. Port Vila not particularly attractive.
Me and a companion visited Vanuatu for a one-week stay just recently ( July 25 to July 31, to be precise ), and so my memories are still very fresh ! Made up of about 83 islands with a fair degree of diversity from one to the other, Vanuatu is not ...

Pros: scuba diving, snorkelling, relaxing, sunny weather Cons: you have to get out of Port Vila to appreciate the country
We stayed at Bokissa Island Resort, off the coast of Santo, Vanuatu. You fly into Port Vila and take the connecting 1 hour flight to Santo. From there, you take an approx. 20 minute speedboat ride to Bokissa Island. It's a small island, surrounded by the...

Pros: Said to be a good location. Cons: They won't be sorry if you don't get there!
My partner and I planned to spend a 2 week holiday on Vanuatu from 29 June to 13 July. We had 2 separate weeks at 2 resorts, the 2nd being Bokissa Island Resort. We had prepaid both for the full amount of our stay. On 29 June we actually boarded the ...

Pros: The air was tropical, moist and i loved it Cons: Our accommodation was in the middle on nowhere
My fiance and I decided to celebrate our engagement, and take a weekend trip (3 nights)to Vanuatu in October 2000.
We stayed at the White Sands. The people were very friendly and the hospitality was great. We got to stay in our own bungalow among...

Pros: An unforgettable experience beyond your wildest dreams Cons: Seeing traditional life is not to everyone's taste
Pentecost Island is in the north of Vanuatu, and scarcely any tourists visit except for the land-diving ceremony ("naghol"). Men and boys tie vines to their feet and jump from a timber-built tower to the ground below, with only the vines to...
