Casa de San Pedro Bed and Breakfast Inn
by pharmafool ,Apr 12 '05
Pros: Very upscale, affordable, gracious, tranquil...Wonderful hosts Cons: none
Casa de San Pedro is located 90 miles southeast of Tucson and 20 miles southeast of Sierra Vista in the San Pedro River Valley.
When we stayed there in late March the weather was beautiful and the birding was great. Our hosts Karl and Patrick saw to our every need and anticipated several we didn't know we had!
Breakfast was delicious and filling - and we were graciously provided with a written recipe upon request.
Offered ("free" of charge): internet access, laundry facilities, wonderful fresh breakfast, coffee, tea and pies to die for! (after Bellagio in Vegas where NOTHING is "free").
We would return in a heartbeat!

History at its Finest
by hvymtal ,May 09 '05
Pros: The sites, history, and townsfolk Cons: Very commercial. Starting to get the feel of an amusement park.
My wife and friends finally made it down to Tombstone this past weekend and were not disappointed whatsoever. If you are a history buff, such as myself, you will soak up the town's atmosphere and history. There are several places I can strongly suggest, like the Birdcage Theater, Crystal Palace Saloon, Big Nose Kate's, the OK Corral, and, of course, Boot Hill Graveyard. A great time for all and we left extremely satisfied.
Two suggestions:
1. Bring your excitement and inhibitions. There is a lot to soak up and experience.
2. Bring your wallet. While history is free to learn, getting in the door will cost you some.
