Pros: delicious food, beautiful atmosphere Cons: hard to get a table, you may want to make reservations, for it is very popular amongst the locals
As I write this, my mouth is already beginning to water as I think of my first visit to the best Thai restaurant in all of Marin County. So rightfully called My Thai, this cute little restaurant is nestled on the beginnings of what the locals...

Pros: Great fruit, veggies, and tons of other stuff too. Cons: In the summer it gets crowded and hot after the early morning
My Sunday morning ritual involves getting up early and going to the Marin County farmer’s market to get fresh fruit, vegetables, baked goods, flowers, fresh fish, hand-crafted gifts, and even a nice hot café latte (or shaved ice in the hot summer). All...

Pros: Total exhilaration, free pens Cons: Sort of far to drive from San Francisco
Review Topic: Sights & Attractions
Okay, I know guns are not a popular topic with most Northern Californians. In fact, I myself am completely anti-gun in terms of ownership. But the shooting range - now that's another...

Pros: Beautiful areas without the crowds Cons: A long way from the airport and not enough hotels
Travel - Anyone visiting the San Francisco Bay Area should consider staying north of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin, Sonoma or Napa Counties to enjoy the glorious northern California countryside, sea coast, farms and wineries that sprinkle the...

Pros: Clean, fast commute once yer on the boat Cons: Getting to the boat on time and parking
I take the Del Norte ferry (the new, fast one) to the City each morning. The alternative is to face the nightmarish traffic over the Golden Gate or Bay Bridge...a fate I would not wish upon my worst enemy.
So each morning my alarm goes off...

Pros: natural beauty, the people, the food Cons: cost of living is extremely high
I moved to Marin County in mid-March of this year from snowy, cold Ohio. And I cannot fathom going back permanantly.
I look out my apartment in San Rafael and see rolling hills and green everywhere. Even now in the winter, we're stuck in...

Pros: great scenery, great food Cons: a rather long drive from the south bay
We head up to Sausalito and Marin County about five times a year in all different seasons. Generally we go up on a weekend so we have time to shop in Sausalito or drive a bit further north and go hiking in Muir Woods or up Mt. Tamalpias or go out to...

Pros: really good pizza to be found throughout marin county Cons: just TRY to get a beer that isn't from some tiny microbrewery around the corner
Whenever I'm in a beautiful outdoor setting, filled with striking vistas and amazing geological features, I always ask myself the same question: where can I get a good slice of pizza around here? Well my friend, since I grew up in Marin County during...

Pros: Glorious ocean-side scenery, many surprises Cons: Dangerous curves, few service stops
If you don't live in the Bay Area but you watch television, you've probably seen the dramatic cliffs and curves of Highway 1 north of San Francisco. This fabulously beautiful, long stretch of tortuous two-lane road is a favorite for car companies...

Pros: Too much to see & do in just a weekend Cons: little pricey!
I use to live in Novato CA & frequented "The City" alot. There is so much to do in that entire area. I would recommend couples or families go there. Fisherman's Wharf has activities & shops for old & young. The tours of San...

Pros: TOO MANY TO MENTION Cons: You have to leave eventually
One of the most romantic places we've been. The trip across the Golden Gate Bridge is amazing and very romantic. The headlands over looking the Pacific and the San Francisco Bay are so beautiful. I was blessed to have been there on a ...
