Pros: Close to New York and Long Island where I live. Not a huge state. Cons: Nothing worth discussing from a travelers point of view.
The further reaches of New England are Connected to New York by the state I cut through, Connecticut. It does offer more than just a pathway to and from New England and New York. It has some fine places to offer the traveler. ...

Pros: Gorgeous scenery; that "small town" feel close to a big city Cons: that "upscale" snotty feel community too
Well, I completely missed the boat on this one. I meant to participate in a Hometown write-off a few weeks ago, and I forgot all about it. I had been really excited about the idea of writing up a review about my hometown though, so I decided to go...

Pros: Great for Bingo Lovers, Gamblers, and those looking for something different to do. Cons: Cost of gifts, ease of losing money, and traveling there on a bus!
An unavoidable craving for high stakes bingo games drew this 33 year old stay at home mother to Foxwoods this past Saturday. Along with eight other members of my family, we boarded a chartered bus at 5 am, and headed towards Connecticut from New Jersey....

Pros: A great mental health day Cons: They won't let you spend the night
I always feel like Dorothy, stepping out of my black and white existence into the world of Technicolor when I enter Logees Greenhouse in Danielson, Connecticut. From the street, Logees looks like nothing more than a rundown old ranch house. Step in the...

Pros: Huge selection, delicious food, super fast service Cons: Not located on every corner
The Athenian III Diner, located at 1064 Boston Post Road in Milford, Connecticut has some 'splainin' to do! How can they offer 5,000,000 (exaggeration) menu choices, have them all be delicious, and serve them in approximately the time it takes for the...

Pros: Beautifully landscaped and designed. Lovely to walk around. Cons: Not the common outlet stores you'd hope to find like Coach and GAP.
Note: While this review ideally belongs in the TANGER category in the Destinations section, I have already written about a different Tanger location there and therefore disallowing this review of Tanger in Connecticut. The two Tangers are completely ...

Pros: Plenty of places to see, and a plenty of people to meet Cons: Lots of people go here to check out historic Connecticut
Mystic, Connecticut is a nice seaport town that borders the Atlantic Ocean. If you visit here you get the taste of true New England Coastline as well as the freezing cold water. If the ocean is just not for you there is plenty of other things to...

Pros: Our heritage preserved perfectly.... Cons: Off the beaten path for far too many people....
In the loft of our home...where the "epinions" computer resides....a solitary print hangs over the fireplace mantle. It's a painting by artist John Stobart of a turn of the century whaling vessel...the Charles W. Morgan...docked at Chubbs...

Pros: This trip was lots of fun, and we had plenty of time to rest =) Cons: Long drive coming from NJ on a Bus. Not the best payout.
Yesterday morning at 5am the tour bus we rented headed for Foxwoods Gaming Casino and Bingo Hall that is located on an Indian Reservation in Connecticut. Since I am doing this review about Connecticut I will leave out the interesting bus ride.

Fat Tommy's Lakehouse, located at 439 Candlewood Lake Road in Brookfield Connecticut, is a surprisingly wonderful restaurant at Connecticut's scenic Candlewood Lake.
